Personal Travel Blog - Aphrodite Hills Resort - Cyprus
Do you like to head off on a wellness holiday and stay put once you get there? Aphrodite Hills Resort in Cyprus would be ideal for you then as it has everything that you could possible need onsite without venturing out. Plus the spa is totally amazing! Our Marketing Manager, Natalie, has recently visited so take a look at her thoughts on the resort:
The style: It's on a grand scale with acres of space and attractively planted grounds. The look is airy and stylish with neutral tones accented with splashes of colour
The vibe: A buzzy, laid-back atmosphere as it's like a little village with plenty of staff ready to spring into action and help you with a big smile
The spa: Amazing just about covers it...! It's huge and set in a separate building with several levels. It feels like a real haven and you could just spend your whole time here as it has its own swimming pool and a gorgeous interior courtyard lounging area
The food: You're rather spoilt for choice with everything from traditional Cypriot dishes to Indian cuisine offered so you probably have to 'police' yourself a little if you want to stick to a healthy diet! I thought the 'Cypriot village' cluster of restaurants was a very nice feature as you get a real sense of where you are and I really liked the Pithari Tavern with its informal atmosphere and yummy meze dishes
The fitness: There's a very well-equipped fitness centre with a fabulous personal trainer who will really put you through your paces! Definitely join in the group fitness classes as they are great fun and motivating - everything from Zumba to aerobics
The bedrooms: They have a luxury feel and are very calming with soft hues and textures. Stylish too with nice throws on the bed and attractive wooden furniture. Plus they all have a balcony or terrace for lounging and taking in the glorious views!
Insider tip: There is a horse riding centre within the resort complex so very handy if you like a canter! Oooh and look out for the famous footballer who regularly holidays here and is seemingly a top guy - he even joins in the kids footie games...
Perfect for: Anyone who is fairly independent and likes variety on tap rather than wall-to-wall wellness - there is a lot to do and it's a busy place. The vast, fabulous spa has wonderfully nurturing treatments though so you can just head there each day if you prefer a quieter environment and it's adults-only!
