Travelling can be a lovely way to enjoy some much-needed ‘me time’ and really focus on your own needs. While holidays with partners or friends are always enjoyable, there’s something undeniably indulgent about only having yourself to think about for a while.\r\n
A wellbeing escape is the perfect type of holiday for solo travellers, with treatments, activities and classes to keep you busy throughout your stay. Whether you’re completely comfortable in your own company or looking for more of a social atmosphere, take a look at our top picks for solo travellers below.
\t\tStress in the workplace is on the rise, and our reliance on technology means we are constantly ‘on’, always tied to our devices and emails. Many can relate to an overflowing inbox and an ever-growing list of tasks, making it harder than ever to switch off. Proper downtime is rare, and the impact on our stress levels can be significant.\r\n
\r\n
Finding balance is essential. High stress levels can affect everything from sleep to overall wellbeing, with a knock-on effect on both professional and personal life. Taking time away to reset can make a real difference – offering space to unwind, gain perspective and learn practical tools to manage stress more effectively.
Take a look at our top spa and wellness retreats designed to help you switch off and recharge.

\t\tDiscover our pick of the world’s most effective weight-loss holidays, from medical spas in Spain to beachfront retreats in Thailand. Thoughtfully designed weight-loss programmes combine nutrition, fitness and spa treatments to support long-term, sustainable results.
\t\tBased on over 50 years of research and experience, the Chenot Method is a tried and tested approach to detox, combining specialised treatments and a tailored diet, developed by Henri Chenot. Its aim is to prevent damage caused by toxins, slow premature ageing and support longevity. The treatments – blending classical Chinese medicine with the latest advances in Western science – help to activate energy channels and stimulate the body’s natural functions, restoring balance and encouraging optimal organ performance.\r\n
\r\n
The method was born from the vision and passion of Henri Chenot, a pioneer in preventative health and wellness. He believed in prevention rather than cure and recognised early on that true health is achieved when the body, mind and spirit work in harmony. When this balance is disrupted, the body accumulates damage more rapidly, toxins build up and overall health declines. By combining modern Western medical research with traditional Chinese and alternative therapies, Chenot created a truly holistic and innovative approach.
\r\n
The Chenot method is both personalised and integrative. At the start of your programme, you will be assessed by a team of health professionals using advanced testing and state-of-the-art diagnostics. This allows them to evaluate the impact of your lifestyle on your body and create a tailored programme with ongoing recommendations. There is continuous monitoring throughout your stay, ensuring alignment between treatments and dietary plans. By the end of your programme, you can expect to feel healthier, more energised and motivated to maintain a balanced, long-term approach to wellbeing.
It’s common to wait until we become ill before taking action. However, by investing in your health earlier, you can support longevity, help prevent disease and feel healthier and more energised from the outset.
The Chenot philosophy focuses on promoting wellness rather than treating illness, using preventative, proactive measures. The method takes a holistic view of the body and adopts a multidisciplinary approach, working to maintain balance and support long-term health.
If you’re struggling to find motivation or feel stuck in a rut with your eating habits, the Chenot Method can help. The Chenot Detox programme is designed to reduce stress, recharge the body’s natural energy and restore overall vitality. It is enhanced by specialised, clinically proven and patented neuroscience technology, which helps relieve stress and energise the body at a deeper level.
As a result, the body can restore its natural rhythms, reduce chronic stress, improve sleep and mood, regain optimal energy levels and support overall wellbeing. At the start of the programme, experienced specialists carry out in-depth medical diagnostic tests to evaluate your needs and tailor treatments for the best possible results.3. Learn to eat well again
The Chenot diet consists of healthy, innovative and creative foods using organic and only high-quality ingredients. Portions are smaller but meals are nutritionally dense so you won’t feel hungry. The way the food is prepared and presented is of high importance as well. You’ll learn how to eat well, feel fulfilled without overeating and cut out the unhealthy food. Over the course of the programme, they deliver a set of bespoke diet plans. These work in synergy to stimulate the body to eliminate toxins, increase vitality, energy levels and to rebalance its physiology. At the beginning, you might feel typical detox symptoms such as low mood, frequent headaches and such. But by the end of the programme you will feel lighter, happier and healthier.
By removing the negative energy from your body and stimulating your physical functions, you’ll be able to relax and de-stress. The Chenot Method can help you to lift your mood in general and promote feeling of happiness.
Combining the latest developments in science and technology with traditional Chinese medicine, the Chenot Method has delivered proven results for over 50 years. With decades of expertise behind it, you can feel confident you are in safe hands.\r\n

Reconnect with your partner on a luxury wellbeing escape. Unwind in some of the world’s most beautiful destinations with five-star service, gourmet dining and award-winning spas.\r\n
These romantic wellness holidays offer the chance to slow down, switch off from daily pressures and spend quality time together. You might even discover something new along the way – from martial arts to healthy cooking! Here are some of our favourite retreats.
\r\n
\t\tDetox retreats are becoming increasingly popular, offering a chance to reset after busy periods or simply step away from the pace of daily life. Whether you’re feeling run down, overwhelmed or in need of a break, a detox retreat can help restore balance and energy.
We’ve outlined five things to consider before booking your detox retreat, along with some exceptional options to explore, from introductory programmes to juice fasting.
Different types of stress on the body call for different remedies. There is no one size fits all, unfortunately! Do you want an overall cleanse and detox with a regimented diet? Or to detox from something specific, like caffeine?
While food and juice detox retreats are most common, detox retreat types have widened significantly in recent years. You could try a digital detox, for instance, with little or no Wi-Fi access. You'll go off-grid and enjoy restorative treatments, healthy exercise and delicious food.
We'd recommend Chiva-Som in Thailand, one of the most established destination spas in the world. They have a strict no-technology policy with no phones, computers or cameras allowed outside of your room – it's a peaceful haven.
If you’re looking for a gentle introduction and body boost, or you’re nervous about attending your first detox retreat then consider our Intro to Detox retreats, which give you a true flavour of the concept without having a strict diet and intensity which you’re not sure you’re ready to deal with just yet.\r\n
If you’ve been on a detox retreat before, and want a truly transformative experience then a more intensive retreat may benefit you most. Experts will guide you using tried and tested treatments to maximise results. Make sure you choose a provider with the staff ability and support levels to help you maximise your results and long term benefits. We'd recommend the Chenot Palace Weggis to experience the renowned Chenot Method Detox programmes, a tried and tested form of detox combining treatments and a special diet established by Henri Chenot.
\r\n
Budget is often a factor when choosing a retreat. How far should you travel? Can a three-day detox retreat be as giving to your body as a five or seven-day version? The truth is, only you can decide. If you don’t have the budget for a longer retreat or can only get a limited amount of time away from work, look out for specialised 'turbo boost' style retreats that provide expert itinerates designed to help you make the most of the time you have.\r\n
\r\n
Euphoria Retreat in Greece offers a 3 Day Wellbeing Detox option that'll give you the detox kick-start you need. \r\n
Most detox retreats will reward your hard work with luxury spa treatments included as standard, but the variety doesn’t stop there, unless you want it to. The popularity of detox retreats means you can pair detoxing with other activities during your time away. Yoga and detox, guided hikes, or even just full access to the facilities which may include things like tennis courts and regular cooking classes.
\r\nThe choice is yours. If you choose something specific such as a yoga and detox retreat, keep in mind you’ll likely have scheduled activities you can choose to take advantage of. Choose a detox-specific retreat and you’ll want to ensure the facility is well equipped enough with a pool, gym or sauna, whichever you desire, to satisfy your needs.
\r\nAlso keep an eye out for any extras included when booking through Wellbeing Escapes, from activities, to free room upgrades!
If you’re looking ahead to your detox retreat, something you don’t want to do is eat a load of naughty stuff before you go! You’ll be at a better starting place if you can actually reduce your intake of bad foods and habits prior to your retreat. That includes cigarettes, caffeine, and foods high in fat or sugar, depending on the retreat and your individual goals. Read our guide on how you can best prepare for a detox holiday here.

\t\tLife can be full-on, whether you’re running a business, juggling family life or managing a packed schedule. Even when you love what you do, it’s easy to feel run down. A spa holiday in Europe is the perfect way to step away, recharge and enjoy some well-earned time to yourself. From beachfront escapes to peaceful countryside retreats, there’s something to suit every style of break.\r\n
\r\n
At Wellbeing Escapes, we’ve used our experience of creating tailored retreats to highlight the key things to consider when choosing your ideal spa holiday. Whether you’re drawn to the coast or a more rural setting, it’s all about finding what works for you.
Take a couple of minutes to explore and find the perfect spa holiday to Europe.
The first step in choosing a spa holiday is location. Urban resorts provide convenience and activities, while rural retreats offer peace and immersion in nature. Consider what suits you: Wine-tasting spa breaks in Portugal’s vineyards; Fitness and spa retreats combining water sports and deep-tissue massages; Authentic Ayurveda treatments and full detox programmes to reset mind and body; The right location sets the tone for your entire wellness experience.
A spa holiday with a partner or friends is a great way to switch off and spend quality time together. Whether you’re drawn to a digital detox, fitness-focused activities, a round of golf or indulgent spa treatments, there’s something to suit every shared interest. These retreats offer the perfect balance of relaxation and connection, away from the pace of everyday life.
Travelling solo is one of the best ways to focus on your own wellbeing. A solo spa holiday gives you the space to reset on your terms – whether that’s switching off completely, meeting like-minded people or exploring somewhere new. From city stays in Venice to beach escapes and hiking in Cyprus, or more active retreats in Turkey, there’s a wide range of options to suit your style.
Whether alone or with others, ensure your chosen spa holiday meets your goals:
\r\n
\t\t\r\n
At Wellbeing Escapes, we’ve been helping solo travellers find the right retreat for more than two decades, with a carefully selected collection of wellness retreats that feel safe, welcoming and supportive. Here are our top solo wellness retreats for relaxation.
\t\t\r\n
Our Fitness Retreats are designed to give you that extra push, with expert guidance, structured programmes and the right level of support. Whether you need motivation or a new challenge, here are some of our favourites.
\t\tExplore our edit of the retreats we rate for supporting lasting hormonal balance – places we've either experienced personally or researched in depth to understand their approach.
\t\tNew Year’s Eve can often feel a little underwhelming. It’s easy to fall into the same routine each year – or skip it altogether to avoid the crowds. So, why not do something different this time?\r\n
\r\n
Imagine waking up on New Year’s Day somewhere that actually feels good – a morning facial overlooking the lemon groves of Lake Garda, a quiet walk in the Himalayas, or a dip in a hydrotherapy pool in the peaceful UK countryside.
It might sound like a lot to organise, but it doesn’t have to be. From choosing the right setting to finding something that suits you both, here’s what to consider when planning a New Year’s Eve spa retreat.
If you’re prepared to take a long-haul flight, you could enjoy a New Year's Eve spa retreat in one of the world’s most beautiful destinations. For example, in the picture-perfect Maldives where sun-soaked shores await. One of our top recommendations is Six Senses Laamu, a dreamy island resort on the southern Laamu Atoll.
\r\n
Alternatively, take a look at Sri Lanka. This exotic country is ideal for a New Year spa retreat or yoga holiday that allows you to combine treatments and exercise with exploration. A top pick is the Sen Wellness Sanctuary, a small, stylish and sociable retreat offering authentic yoga, meditation, Ayurvedic treatments and vegetarian cuisine.
If sunbathing isn’t an essential for you, countries like Spain and Portugal are home to a whole host of wonderful spa resorts offering rejuvenating treatments within luxurious surroundings, often at much warmer temperatures still than the UK.
\r\n
Asia-inspired Shanti-Som, in Sierra de Las Nieves Nature Park near Marbella, has gardens full of waterfalls, streams and fountains, and a stunning mountain backdrop, so it's the ultimate setting for yoga and relaxation this New Year.
Want to combine R&R with history? Head for Cyprus. Almyra Hotel & Spa is located within minutes of Paphos harbour, and close to age-old ruins. When you're not out and about, there's a serene adults-only spa to make the most of.
Don't want to travel far? Opt for a New Year’s Eve spa retreat in the UK. Combe Grove in historic Bath pairs world-class treatments with a location in the peaceful countryside, and is set in a sprawling 18th-century manor house. Or consider the Glass House Retreat, the UK's first purpose-built eco-friendly escape nestled in the leafy outskirts of Essex.

Spending quality time in nature helps to reduce blood pressure, heart rate and stress. It’s especially good for those suffering with physical illnesses or mental health disorders such as depression or anxiety. \"Forest bathing\" otherwise known as the Japanese practice of Shinrin_Yoku has not only been proven to provide relaxation and reduce stress but also has physical benefits such as reducing blood pressure and raising immunity. A beach holiday is also extremely therapeutic but you are less likely to get the peace and quiet and awareness of nature and wildlife that you get in the forest or countryside. A wellbeing holiday surrounded by natural scenery helps to free the mind and relax the body. It is enjoyable and beneficial for nature lovers but also urbanites you need to reconnect with nature.
Here’s our pick of the best three places for being in nature:
If you’re looking for some well-deserved rest and relaxation but don’t want to over-do it on the food front, fear not. \t\tOur friend and client Anita Kaushal, the founder of Mauli products absolutely loved her stay at our retreat in the Dominican Republic and gives us the low down from her stay.
The place felt calm, peaceful and inviting. It was gentle, and I loved the chic and simple style.
My holiday was split into two. I did an individual holistic programme that included a one-to-one consultation with Kyra as well as daily massage, yoga and hip baths, when I spent my days swinging and indeed singing in a hammock, walking along the ocean, reading by the pool and being thoroughly spoilt by the love lavished on me by Kyra and her team. Then I took part in a silent retreat with mostly Dominican women, which included a mud cleanse, crystal sound healing, mandala colouring, a fire ritual and, as we moved from silence to speaking, some soulful conversations with fellow guests.
I had the choice of a juice fast or an abundance of food or a bit of both, and the food was exceptional and made with such love and devotion. I relished waking to a freshly laid table set by the ocean with mis-matched napkins and crockery and fresh flowers. Mornings started with fresh fruit, porridge with cinnamon, eggs and a coffee, lunch was usually a delicious big salad and supper tended to be a hearty bowl of soup. The pineapple sorbet was divine and I don’t even like pineapple! I ate so much but never felt over-full - just satisfied and energised. I even lost 4lbs - it was the most enjoyable weight loss journey I have ever had.
Don’t take much with you. Being here is about relaxing by the ocean, surrounded by nature, with a group of people who will lovingly and gently nurture your soul. I literally went from airport to retreat and back again and I saw all I wanted to. It’s heaven.
Anyone who wants to return home feeling better without any effort at all. It’s as good for individuals as it is for couples, and children are also welcome. I defy anyone to not love being here.
Yoga can feel intimidating if it’s your first time, especially when retreat adverts are filled with images of advanced poses. \t\tI’m Sophie, the founder of Ageing Gracefully, a brand of retreats that inspire women in our middle years to Find Our Fabulous….
This can sound glib and all-very-well, when we’re struggling to stay afloat as we steer the emotional and biological tidal waves that swell up even more frequently in our 40s and 50s. Career doubt, relationship breakdown, children doing their thing, anxiety and fatigue, can all chip at our sense of identity. Who are we? What’s our role? Where has all our chutzpah gone?
The eye of the mid-life storm is not alien to me: six months after I was left for another woman, I was still waking in the night, collapsing in tears and mopping sweat from my cleavage. Falling hormones compounded it all. Thankfully it’s history now.
I passionately believe we can all be that ‘woman who’s got it going on!’ We can be sassy, discerning, clear about what we want and what to do. Our middle years offer a beautiful opportunity to ‘come home’ and focus our energy in new ways; ways that will be different for each of us but make us radiant and plugged into life nonetheless.
The ‘glow and flow’ path I find myself on is thanks to wonderful people and practices that have fed my personal experience, as well as 20 years working in wellbeing as an international writer and consultant. I want to share all this with other women, like me, to support and inspire us all to ‘find our fabulous’. I really believe connecting to our inherent feminine intelligence and innate wisdom is where much of this begins. It’s a subliminal knowing that feeds our, confidence, trust and intuition.
We explore some of these maybe-hard-to-fathom concepts at the Ageing Gracefully retreat (November 28th - December 1st in Kent). Together with five wonderful women, each expert in different disciplines we ‘plug in’ with information around hormones, nutrition and exercise. We also enjoy subtle and profound ways to connect through our senses: with movement, meditation, breathing, being in nature and being washed by the sound of gong baths and crystal bowls. We play and stay in a luxurious country house. ’Finding Our Fabulous’ in my book - has to be fun.
It’s heartening to see such growing awareness and support around ‘menopause’. Let’s celebrate, rather than question ourselves and make this phase of life the best it can be. After all we’re wise women and we do know we what to do. Sometimes we need a little help, to be heard and held. I know I do….. and Ageing Gracefully offers this to you too.
The Ageing Gracefully retreat is from the 28th November – 1st December 2019 at Goodnestone Park in Canterbury. Price from £1,101 pp (double/twin) or £1,251 (single). Call us on 020 3735 7555 to book your space or book online.

\t\tAn award-winning wellness clinic set majestically above the beach town of Albir, SHA Wellness Clinic has been a pioneer of integrated health for 10 years, and most recently turned its attention to mental and emotional health with the launch of its new Cognitive Development Unit. The unit uses scientific knowledge and the latest technology to evaluate a guest’s mental health, and then carry out a series of exercises and activities to develop all the potential stored in their minds. We talked to the head of the unit, Professor Bruno Ribeiro, about why mental health has become a necessary focus in today’s society.
Stress is the mental health disease that most affects society on an emotional level. As this is an internal situation, and sometimes hard to define, it’s something that only can be managed by oneself. Our mental health is sensitive and susceptible to breakdown. We need to balance our life so that we can manage that internal situation of stress and avoid developing the disorders that many of us may have experienced. This includes ‘brain fog’, which often manifests as a lack of concentration, scattered thinking, feeling dull and unmotivated, forgetfulness, having a poor memory and generally experiencing cloudy thoughts.
Stress is an indication of inflammation in the body. Our cells become easily fatigued, and we lose our ability to focus for long periods. Chronic inflammation can be caused by a poor diet and a hyper-productive lifestyle. Poor management and balance of our professional and personal lives also causes frustrations and disappointments, and this leads to stress. We encourage guests to make healthier choices based on the different factors that affect a weakened mind and body, which are poor sleep, poor gut health, eating too many processed foods, hormonal imbalances and an unhealthy home and work environment.
We are living in a very competitive and stressful world, in which we constantly need to give the best of ourselves. People are living longer, but not always in the best conditions, because they have poor nutrition, suffer from stress and don’t do enough exercise. Our main mission with our guests at SHA is to identify their true motivation and the point of balance between their worlds. The advice we give them can be very different, from advising a retired man to remain connected to his professional field so he can feel productive at times, to telling a guest at the very peak of her career to reduce her workload.
Our new unit was born about of our concerns for society’s 'mental wellbeing', and we treat a variety of guests from CEOs to university students, most of whom want to age with a brain that is functioning at its maximum. We treat general situations such as a lack of mental energy or feelings of mental 'fogginess' and more serious cases of depression, anxiety and even damage to the central nervous system. Our cognitive treatments oxygenate the brain cells, so that guests leave with mental energy, clarity and a much more positive state of mind.

\t\tClaudia Roth talks to us about the meaning of true self love and how to get there by journalling.
Self love is an often misunderstood and sometimes right-out rejected concept. Some mistake it for selfishness, and others harbour too many false beliefs (‘I’m not worthy’) to even consider it The way I see it, self love is a state of being that allows you to connect with life in its fullest sense. In this state, you see that you are life, rather than life being something that is happening to you.
Actually, developing self love is a most unselfish act. Only when we feel truly worthy of ourselves, can we love others, too, for whom they are, rather than for whom we want them to be. This, in turn, can heal our relationships to others.
Journalilng is an excellent tool for processing life experiences. It can help us feel less stressed and anxious and to value life more. A guided journal is structured to guide you, through self-reflection, towards getting to know yourself better. The journalling journey has the potential to de-clutter your life of self-images that no longer serve you, and to awaken you to the potential of connecting to a more expansive sense of peace and fulfilment.
Claudia Roth’s 'Your 28 Day Journey to Self Love' is a guided journal aimed at leading you to know who you truly are by using inspirational texts and assignments. To order, contact Claudia at hello@soul-luxury.com. You can find out more about Claudia and her work on her website.
\t\tEmpowerment is the process of encouraging you to think, behave, manage, take action and make decisions. We asked Jay Rai, a Self-Empowerment Therapist her top strategies for feeling empowered in the workplace.
Although the voice in our head telling us we aren’t clever or successful enough often sounds convincing, believing it leaves us racked with self-doubt and can lead us towards self-destruction. Question your ‘inner critic.’ Start a thought diary to shine light on any negative thought patterns. Unhelpful beliefs aren’t facts but a narrative you can alter. Once you believe this, you are in control and you can replace the old beliefs with new, positive affirmations.
This is an important way to overcome stressful situations. By getting to the heart of what is really going on and expressing it means we can cut away the shackles of our past and break free from our self-constructed prisons. Find your voice and trust in your intuition.
Success in business and in life means something different to everyone. Take the time to understand what brings you joy and put aside all the what if’s.
Consider what would bring you the greatest long-term satisfaction, without being afraid of affecting others. Too many people become reliant on the wrong advisors when pursuing their goals. Remember to take advice under consideration, but continue moving forward, undeterred, as you pursue your goals.
Depleting yourself of energy inhibits your ability to regulate yourself emotionally. Designate time for true self-nourishment. Identify, reduce or eliminate any activities which seem relaxing but are increasing your stress levels, such as scrolling through social media. Take a walk in nature or meditate instead.

\t\tA detox isn’t just about what you eat. More and more people are realising that phones, tablets, televisions, laptops and especially social media are causing us to feel overstimulated. You can get back to the 'real' you without distractions; it encourages you to socialise more and allows you to let go of the stress that stems from being constantly connected.
In this post, we showcase a couple of our top digital detox retreats with either no Wi-Fi or restricted access, where you can take in your surroundings with your eyes and not your phone.

\r\n
\t\tClaudia Roth, Soul Luxury founder, talks vulnerability and how to become more comfortable with the feeling.
\r\n
To be vulnerable means to expose yourself emotionally, and actively. To dare to move forward with all your fears, not knowing what the outcome will be. Now that is courage! Examples of actions that only one who dares to be vulnerable will take: going on a first date after a divorce, going back to the office for the first time after lockdown, or starting a difficult conversation that exposes your feelings. There are many more examples, as we all know.
When looking at the importance of being vulnerable, the first question to ask yourself is if you dare to be vulnerable with yourself.
What this means is, looking beyond self images such as “I am right” and “ I am strong” to allow other emotions to surface. Ask yourself what lies beyond your self image. Don’t be surprised if the emotions that come up are very uncomfortable. Such as shame, feeling weak, fear of being rejected and inexplicable sadness.
In order for those emotions not to paralyse me, as I allow myself to feel them, I can:
As we go to work, we may feel that we are being pushed out of our safe cocoon. Even if you have worked on being vulnerable with yourself, your family, your friends, what if you still freeze as you near your workplace? Surrounded by colleagues and bosses you may lose your confidence to be vulnerable. “They have so much power over me, can I be myself?”
Here is the crux of it: this issue will be less of an issue the more that you feel you can be your own true authentic self. In our culture we tend to shield ourselves from hurt. We don’t allow ourselves to be vulnerable. As a result, we will only hurt more in the long run.\r\n
Why?
1. We are not being our authentic selves when the armour is on – when we are shielding ourselves, being guarded.
2. Not even attempting to be our authentic selves, we stray more and more and are accumulating and postponing hurt – I think this is something of a universal law.
So, why do we do it?
It is generally seen as a necessary evil, endured in return for making a living. Many workplaces have cultures that don’t encourage vulnerability, though this is slowly changing. Rather, it is punished with sideline of promotion or other such measures. And so we retreat into our shell, our armour… we pretend…
How do we dare break free from that?
Think of it this way: Only by showing up as your truest possible self, do you actually honour yourself. If you have the courage to show small steps in being vulnerable in your workplace, like having a difficult conversation with a colleague in a compassionate way, perhaps you will set the stage for your colleagues to do the same.
Next, imagine the light that will click on inside when you walk through life this way. Will it not positively impact all that you do?
Let’s look at it this way: Sometimes we don’t feel ok.
Isn’t it better to accept that right now I don’t feel fine, I don’t feel ok, I don’t feel well than to pretend to be? Yes! Because if I pretend ( if I haven’t taken the first steps towards being vulnerable, I’ll even be lying to myself) there is no way that I can get well. Eventually I will crack. If I admit to myself and, even better: to others, there is hope. In fact I am already much more well than if in denial. Something is opening up.
This will be a good position to be in as others will (perhaps subconsciously) be inspired to also allow themselves to be just as and who they are too. It can result in heartfelt connections, true friendships. And those are always good for one’s health.
Being vulnerable can propel you into entirely new avenues of life. Perhaps away from cultures that expect you to hide your true vulnerable self – what a wellness blessing!\r\n

\t\tK. Matthias Rolle, physician of F.X. Mayr Medicine and owner of the OCÉANO Health Spa Hotel in Tenerife, talks to us about the power and benefits of the F.X. Mayr Detox.\r\n
The concept of the F.X. Mayr Detox is based on the observations of Austrian physician, Doctor Franz Xaver Mayr. This doctor had discovered the central role of the intestine in the treatment of his patients. By prescribing a combination of sparing, cleansing and training of the intestines, he was able to achieve impressive health successes and a lasting improvement in the quality of life. His approach is impressively confirmed by current scientific findings about the intestine.\r\n
The intestine is by far our most important detoxification organ. Only if it can fulfill its function correctly, is a sustainable detoxification possible. This means, however, not necessarily a complete fasting. The F.X. Mayr doctor creates the basis by supporting and stimulating the intestine in its activity. The fasting metabolism, which is so decisive for all cell renewal, is not necessarily achieved by a zero fasting but by an individual diet adapted to the constitution of the patient. Basically, the detox programme according to F.X. Mayr includes cleansing of intestines and respiratory therapies, which simultaneously stimulate intestinal motility (i.e. the activity of the intestines themselves).\r\n
The medical diagnosis at the beginning of a treatment is crucial to ensure that the intensity is optimally adjusted to the respective situation.\r\n
With the help of F.X. Mayr Medicine, excellent results can be achieved in all chronic diseases. A contraindication exists for acute phases or chemotherapeutic treatment of consuming diseases, like cancer.\r\n
Our intestine with its huge surface area is by far the most potent detoxification organ in our organism. As soon as the intestine is not hindered by stress or bad eating habits, superfluous and harmful substances tend to be excreted. The observed weight loss is due to the reduction of excess fatty tissue, and a normalisation of the water balance. After only a short time, we will feel more powerful mentally and physically during an F.X. Mayr cure.\r\n
Complaints such as those observed around hormone balances, for example, during the menopause, are reduced and chronic pain is relieved. Of course, functional intestinal complaints, in particular, which are widespread today, improve. In addition, the organs adjacent to the intestines, such as the lungs, heart, kidneys and uterus, are also relieved and thus healed very effectively. It is noticeable that the skin becomes particularly clean and smooth in the first few days of a cure after subsequent elimination processes. An intact intestine and its microbiome will produce more hormones that are needed for our sleep rhythm and mood. Therefore, we experience an increased 'joie de vivre' after a detox period in the sense of Doctor F.X. Mayr.\r\n
The weight loss in pounds or kilos is actually secondary. If you want a formula from me then I would say between one kilo per day and one kilo per month, anything is possible and healthy.\r\n
It is crucial that a balanced metabolism, together with a healthy lifestyle, lead to a sustainable permanent weight normalisation.\r\n
The diet we always decide individually, but a break of several hours between meals as well as a complete food fast after dinner for at least 14 hours. Whether a simple, chewing-promoting diet is preferred or a carefully cooked, wholefood diet depends on the constitution and constitution of the individual patient.\r\n
Chewing is the first step towards a good digestion of our food. To ensure that the saliva that initiates digestion can be produced in sufficient quantity, we should not speak while eating. In addition, a break after F.X. Mayr is a period of rest, and the desire to concentrate on food during the meal and enjoy the relaxation usually comes naturally. This also means that distractions, for example, in the form of mobile devices during meals, are taboo.\r\n
Rest and protection are the prerequisites for self-regulation and healing processes. We therefore recommend longer rest phases, especially at the beginning of the cure. Light movement in an anaerobic range supports detoxification and is an essential part of the programme.\r\n
Omega triple oils, in particular, are essential for our health, and therefore supplied during an F.X. Mayr cure via the diet, for example in the form of linseed or argan oil.
Liver compresses are essential for the cure, but they should only be applied with a damp cloth. The increased blood circulation is our main detoxification organ. The liver deepens the detoxification processes. Karlovy Vary thermal spring water or Bitter Salt soothes the mucous membranes of the intestines and in the right dosage helps to facilitate emptying.\r\n
All treatments are carried out with natural therapeutics. Side effects are therefore largely excluded. Excretion reactions may occur, as they do in withdrawal treatments, such as headaches. In this case, your F.X. Mayr doctor will provide quick and uncomplicated relief.\r\n
The question here is not so much how often, but above all how long. Like everything else in F.X. Mayr, the recommended length of a detox period depends on the patient's condition. As a rule of thumb, we recommend three weeks for a sustained cure. However, lasting success can be felt from 10 days onwards. Traditionally, many patients repeat the cure annually. However, if the cure was only very short, it is often advisable to repeat it after a few months.\r\n
Our body always needs time and gentle transitions for recovery processes. We therefore recommend a gradual build-up to usual lifestyle and activities after the cure. Depending on the individual circumstances, this takes place either at our clinic or at the patient's home. Although F.X. Mayr medicine is not a prescription on how to live, a period of detoxification creates new habits which often enrich and improve everyday life.\r\n
F.X. Mayr doctors are fully licensed doctors with various specialisations. They are trained and certified by the International Society of Meyer Doctors in courses lasting several months.\r\n
The location of the OCÉANO Health Spa directly on the Atlantic Ocean in the Canary Islands means balanced mild temperatures throughout the year, which contribute considerably to a relaxed spa experience. In addition, the sea water, which is also used therapeutically, is an effective resource to support the detoxification processes during an F.X. Mayr cure. The F.X. Mayr therapy has a tradition of over 25 years, and is carried out by experienced Mayr doctors under optimal conditions. Last but not least: from your room, from the F.X. Mayr Restaurant and from the large terrace of the clinic, the view always goes westwards to the Atlantic Ocean, and gives wings to the soul!
The F.X. Mayr Centre at the OCÉANO Hotel is a leading destination for preventive medicine, set within the fully renovated OCÉANO Health Spa Hotel in a quieter, greener part of Tenerife, away from mass tourism.
\r\n
Overlooking the Atlantic and backed by mountains, the setting supports a focused, restorative stay. Established as one of Europe’s key Mayr centres since 1999, it combines a respected medical team with a considered range of treatments, alongside a dedicated restaurant tailored to the needs of the programme.

\t\tMost of us feel an instant sense of calm by the ocean – and it’s not by chance. Studies suggest we’re naturally drawn to water, with the sights and sounds of the sea helping to quiet the mind and bring clarity. In a world of constant noise and distraction, being by the coast allows you to switch off, reset and settle into a more mindful state.
There are physical benefits, too. Sea water is rich in minerals such as magnesium and potassium, known to support immunity and reduce inflammation, which is why thalassotherapy is so effective. Breathing in sea air can also support respiratory health and help balance mood, leaving you more relaxed and energised.
If you’re looking to restore both body and mind, a coastal escape is a natural place to start. Here are our favourite beach spa and wellbeing holidays.
\t\tA mindfulness retreat gives you the space to properly switch off and reconnect away from everyday distractions. With expert guidance to support you along the way, it’s an ideal setting to build confidence. Here are some of our top picks.

\t\tTravelling solo is a wonderful way to focus on yourself and your own wellbeing. It also helps to have the option to connect with like-minded people, whether that’s over shared meals or group activities. In this post, we’ve selected our top friendly solo retreats, where you can enjoy your own space while still having opportunities to socialise.

\t\tItaly is a natural choice for a wellness escape, with its mix of lakes, mountains and fresh, restorative landscapes. Known for a balanced lifestyle and nourishing Mediterranean cuisine, it’s no surprise the standard of wellbeing retreats here is so high. In this post, we introduce you to two properties new to our collextion, whose expert-led programmes are designed to help you feel reset and re-energised, without missing out on the pleasure of Italy's world-famous cuisine.
\t\tTake time out together on a couples retreat and enjoy some well-earned R&R. From being pampered to spending time in beautiful surroundings and taking part in healthy activities, it’s an easy way to reset and reconnect. Here are some of our favourite couples retreats in Europe.
\r\n
\t\tTo offer effective and certified thalasso spa treatments, the water needs to be pumped into the spa from four metres below sea surface and purified. Not every hotel that offers thalasso spa treatments actually does this. We only work with the certified thalasso spa centres and are always on the look out for good options to offer our clients.
That is why as Thalasso enthusiasts, we are delighted to introduce to our portfolio Palasiet which is a charming wellness resort by the sea and can give you a first rate experience with their focused programmes.
With its tropical surroundings and age-old healing practices, Sri Lanka is a great choice for a wellness holiday. We offer a varied range, too – from authentic Ayurveda retreats to luxury resorts with beautiful spas. Take a look at some of our top picks below.
\t\tIn our view, hydrotherapy treatments using thermal and spring waters are still hugely underrated in the UK. Historically, royalty would 'take the waters' for their health and wellbeing, spending time in spa towns such as Bath and Harrogate, but the practice has gradually fallen out of everyday culture.\r\n
In contrast, many of our European neighbours have continued this tradition as part of their regular self-care routines, and it remains firmly embedded in their way of life. Their spa towns continue to thrive, offering both therapeutic treatments and restorative downtime for locals and visitors.
Thermal waters are known for a wide range of benefits, including easing muscle tension, supporting skin conditions, helping with joint and muscular issues, aiding digestion, and even improving sleep. And it’s not just about bathing. Many of these spas now offer considered wellness programmes, from massages and body wraps to movement and relaxation therapies, designed to leave you feeling genuinely restored.\r\n
Below, we spotlight two European spas known for their exceptional thermal and spring waters.

\t\tIf there’s a country that embodies living well, it’s Bhutan. Nestled between China to the north and India to the south, this small South Asian nation is over 70% forested and is the world’s first carbon-negative country.\r\n
Bhutan measures its success not by wealth, but by the happiness of its citizens – a guiding principle that's shaped its government for centuries. Health and happiness are intertwined, and the concept of Gross National Happiness takes precedence over GDP.\r\n
We invite you to explore this magical country, rich in beauty, history and ancient wellness traditions for mind, body and soul. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime journey you’ll never forget. Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary will take care of every detail, including day excursions to the Kingdom’s most significant sites.

With emotions now widely recognised as affecting physical health and immunity, many of our clients are looking for retreats and programmes designed to help release unhealthy thought patterns and accumulated stress. We carefully select partners offering comprehensive programmes, combining treatments that go beyond relaxation to release trapped emotions, alongside consultations with experienced therapists. In this post, we highlight some of our favourites.
\r\n
\t\tWith growing research highlighting the benefits of cold exposure for physical and mental health, cryotherapy has become a popular addition to many health spa menus. Treatments can offer a range of benefits, including pain relief, migraine reduction, decreased inflammation, support for weight loss, and potentially even prevention of dementia and cancer.\r\n
\r\n
Cryotherapy is usually carried out in a specialised chamber, with temperatures between -85°C and -110°C for a short period (up to four minutes), under the supervision of trained staff. For best results, multiple sessions are recommended, with three to five treatments per week being most effective.
\r\n
A hyperbaric oxygen chamber is an enclosure where you breathe oxygen at levels above normal atmospheric pressure. While it may sound intimidating, all you do is sit or lie down and breathe air containing up to 100% oxygen – compared with the 20% we usually inhale.
\r\n
The principle is simple: as we age, or recover from illness or injury, our cells become less efficient. Increasing oxygen levels can help them function more effectively, which is why many health spa retreats now include hyperbaric chambers as part of their wellness programmes.
\r\n
Benefits include slowing the ageing process – studies suggest treatments may increase telomere length, a biomarker of ageing – as well as boosting immunity, supporting wound healing, and aiding chronic conditions such as fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, and chronic fatigue syndrome.
Vitamin IVs, or intravenous vitamin therapy, deliver high doses of vitamins, minerals and nutrients directly into the bloodstream via an IV drip. Popular at many health spas, they offer fast and effective results. Formulations vary by provider and individual needs but often include vitamin C, B vitamins, magnesium and zinc.\r\n
Common benefits include:\r\n

Many people are not aware that their backaches and even aches and pains in other parts of the body are the result of overcompensation from a weak core. A very effective and targeted way to fix this is through Pilates, and using Pilates Reformer machines takes it to a whole different level. The reformers provide support and resistance to bring about more targeted and quicker results, and are great for improving flexibility and dealing with injury rehabilitation.\r\n

April is Stress Awareness Month, and with stress now widely recognised as a major contributor to both physical and mental health issues, it’s more important than ever to take it seriously.\r\n
Chronic stress, in particular, often goes unnoticed. Its symptoms can be subtle and easily dismissed as part of everyday life, making it harder to recognise when it’s becoming a real problem. So, what are some common signs to watch out for?
Physical symptoms may include frequent headaches, muscle tension or pain, digestive issues such as IBS, insomnia or disrupted sleep, persistent fatigue, and a weakened immune system leading to frequent illness.\r\n
Emotional symptoms can present as ongoing anxiety or worry, irritability, mood swings, feeling overwhelmed or unable to cope, low self-esteem, restlessness, and difficulty concentrating or making decisions.\r\n
Cognitive symptoms often show up as racing thoughts, constant worrying, memory problems, negative self-talk, a consistently pessimistic outlook, or heightened sensitivity to criticism or perceived threats.\r\n
While most of us will experience some of these symptoms from time to time, it’s important to honestly reflect on whether they are becoming a regular pattern. If you recognise several of these signs in your daily life, it may be time to take action.\r\n
There are many ways to begin addressing chronic stress. One particularly effective approach is stepping away from your usual environment and immersing yourself in a retreat. This creates space to disconnect from everyday pressures while learning practical tools to better manage stress.\r\n
It’s important to note that a retreat won’t magically eliminate stress altogether. However, it offers something incredibly valuable: time to focus on yourself, build awareness, and begin making small, consistent changes that support your wellbeing. Think of it as the starting point of a longer, more sustainable journey.\r\n
Below, we’ve highlighted a selection of retreats that, in our opinion, offer the strongest foundations to support your stress management journey.

\t\tScientific research has consistently shown that good sleep patterns support us in several key areas:
1. Cardiovascular health\r\n
Insufficient sleep is linked to an increased risk of hypertension, coronary artery disease, and stroke.
2. Metabolic health and weight management\r\n
Numerous studies highlight the connection between poor sleep and metabolic disorders such as obesity and type 2 diabetes. Lack of sleep can disrupt hormone regulation, leading to imbalances in appetite hormones, which may contribute to weight gain and insulin resistance.
3. Cognitive function\r\n
Sleep plays a vital role in memory, learning, problem-solving, and decision-making. There is also growing evidence suggesting that poor sleep may be associated with an increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.\r\n
4. Mental health
Poor sleep is closely linked to conditions such as anxiety, depression, and chronic stress.\r\n
There's no doubt that sleep is deeply connected to overall wellbeing. If you’re struggling with your sleep, it may be worth considering one of our dedicated sleep retreats below. Each has been carefully designed to help you reset your sleep patterns and set you up with good habits for when you return.

\t\tNot so long ago, menopause was spoken about in hushed tones and women were told to \"just get on with it!\". Luckily, those days are long gone and there is a plethora of information and guidance available for women going through menopause. Including getaways designed to help navigate all that comes with it.
Menopause and peri menopause can affect women on so many different levels. And sometimes, just taking HRT isn't enough to help us navigate the tricky symptoms. This is a profound shift in a woman’s life that reflects deeper transitions on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.
Going on a retreat that specialises in women's health can help you gain a deeper understanding of this shift. Stepping away from your day to day life and allowing yourself to be nurtured and guided will help you embed new habits that'll alleviate your symptoms and allow you to embrace this new chapter in your life in a more optimistic way. During late summer, the earth's energy is at its peak, with nature's fruits at their ripest and crops ready for harvest. This is a time to embrace and make the most of nature's abundance, gathering all that Mother Nature provides before the colder months arrive. But what does this mean for our health and wellbeing?
Our founder, Stella's interpretation is, that this is the perfect time to 'fill up her own cup' by nurturing herself, getting grounded, and reconnecting with nature. It's an opportunity to recharge with positive energy, nourish the body with wholesome food, and savour the last of summer's abundance before the shorter days and cooler temperatures set in.\r\n
If you do have the time and means to go on a late summer wellbeing break, these are her personal recommendations for getting close to nature and bringing in inner calm and harmony.

I'm Stella, Wellbeing Escapes founder, and I speak from personal experience. Many years ago I suffered from adrenal burnout. Since then, I've learned how to take better care of myself, but it remains a continuous balancing act. It's about knowing when to stop while also putting in the necessary effort to do a good job.\r\n
We all experience intense periods of work at some point in our lives, and one effective way to regain balance is by going on a retreat specifically designed to help you reset. While a relaxing holiday in the sun can be enjoyable, consider a place that will teach you good habits, provide healthy food to restore your energy, and allow you to feel nurtured and cared for without any responsibilities. What a heavenly thought for the overworked!\r\n
Below, I have curated a selection of what I believe are the best retreats for those that are overworked and overwhelmed. All with a different slant, and a different approach. Take a look and see if any of them chime with your needs and preferences and get in touch for more information.

\t\tOur founder, Stella Photi, recently had the opportunity to trial the new Holistic Longevity Programme at Euphoria Retreat, and it was truly transformative. Here's her take on the experience.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Peloponnese mountains, Euphoria offers a deeply nourishing environment that made it easy to disconnect and reset. The programme itself combines cutting-edge science with ancient healing practices, offering a multi-dimensional approach to ageing well – physically, mentally, and emotionally.\r\n
Each day was thoughtfully curated, blending targeted therapies, movement sessions, personalised nutrition, and expert consultations. I came away feeling rebalanced, energised, and more in tune with my body’s natural rhythms. What stood out most was the integrated support from the Euphoria team – knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely invested in each guest’s wellbeing. This wasn’t just a wellness retreat; it was a gentle yet powerful reawakening of what it means to age with vitality and purpose. Here's a summary of all the aspects.

\t\tWater has always been central to health and wellness, with countless cultures throughout history harnessing its therapeutic properties for centuries. In today’s wellness world, two forms of water therapy stand out for their healing benefits: seawater and thermal spring waters. While both are integral to modern health retreats, each one offers distinct benefits based on its origin and composition. \r\n
Seawater therapy, or Thalassotherapy, involves the use of purified seawater, extracted from two metres below the ocean’s surface. The water is rich in marine minerals, such as magnesium, calcium, and potassium, known to ease joint and muscle pain, improve circulation, support detoxification, and restore balance to mind and body. The therapeutic effects of seawater are enhanced not only by its mineral content but also by its temperature, salinity, and the use of marine elements such as mud, algae, and is commonly used in treatments for their rejuvenating benefits, providing a natural way to detoxify, reduce stress, and boost vitality.\r\n
In contrast, thermal spring waters are sourced directly from deep within the Earth, and are rich in minerals, including sulfur, calcium, and magnesium, and known for their ability to relieve a range of chronic health issues. What makes thermal spring waters unique is their thermally heated composition, which helps to promote blood circulation, relieve joint pain, ease muscle tension. At many medical spa retreats across Europe, these natural spring waters are drinkable and often used as digestive aid to help improve metabolic functions, or are incorporated in treatments including hydrotherapy thermal baths, Thalasso pools, mud wraps and salt saunas. Both types of retreats offer an excellent opportunity to revitalise your body and mind, with the seawater retreats promoting relaxation and vitality through ocean-based therapies, and the thermal spring retreats helping restore your health from within through the natural healing waters of the Earth. \r\n

\t\tBlue Monday strikes a chord
for so many of us. What’s interesting is that studies show our mood doesn’t only improve when we travel – it improves when we plan to travel. Having something to look forward to increases pleasure, optimism and motivation, even in the depths of winter.Think about a place where you’ll feel energised again. Where your body can move, your mind can rest, and life feels a little brighter. Sometimes the shift starts simply by imagining what’s next.
If that resonates, we invite you to browse the retreats below and allow yourself to start picturing the future – where you might go, how you’d like to feel, and what kind of support your body and mind are craving right now.

With its year-round mild temperatures, dramatic volcanic landscapes and deep-rooted maritime heritage, Madeira offers a rare combination of elemental nature and lived culture. Here, wellbeing is not confined to a spa or programme. It is embedded in the rhythm of everyday life — in the levada irrigation channels that have sustained communities for centuries, in fishing villages that still rise with the tide, in produce grown on terraced hillsides, and in a cuisine influenced by Atlantic trade routes and seasonal abundance.

\t\tAs winter fades and the days begin to lengthen, many of us feel a natural shift — a desire for lighter food, more energy and a sense of renewal.\r\n
This isn’t just psychological. Spring is widely recognised as the most effective time of year to detox and reset the body, making it the ideal moment to step away and focus on your health more intentionally.\r\n
For those considering a detox retreat or broader wellbeing retreat, this seasonal transition creates the perfect foundation for meaningful, lasting results.
During winter, it’s entirely natural to slow down. We tend to eat richer foods, move less and spend more time indoors.\r\n
Over time, this can leave us feeling:
As spring arrives, the body begins to shift out of this state — encouraging better digestion, increased energy and a natural desire to feel lighter.\r\n
This makes it one of the most effective times to support your system through a structured detox retreat or a more holistic retreat, where expert guidance can help accelerate and sustain this natural reset.
For those looking for a more structured, medically guided reset, retreats such as Park Igls Medical Spa Resort offer a highly effective approach based on the Modern Mayr Method, focusing on gut health, digestion and long-term lifestyle change.
One of the most powerful changes in spring is increased exposure to natural light.\r\n
This directly influences:\r\n
As these systems rebalance, the body becomes more responsive to positive changes, whether that’s improving nutrition, increasing movement or beginning a more structured programme at a wellness retreat.\r\n
In this environment, the benefits are amplified through carefully designed routines, treatments and surroundings that work in harmony with the season.
At this time of year, our appetite naturally shifts toward:
These changes support the body’s natural detoxification processes, particularly:\r\n
Many detox retreats and wellness retreats build on this natural rhythm, offering tailored nutrition programmes designed to restore gut health and improve overall vitality — without the need for extreme restriction.\r\n
For a more refined and comprehensive approach, Palace Merano combines advanced diagnostics with its renowned Revital® Method, drawing on principles from Traditional Chinese Medicine to support deep detoxification in an elegant, highly personalised setting.
The concept of a spring cleanse is deeply rooted in traditional wellness systems.
In Ayurveda, spring is the ideal time to clear accumulated heaviness (kapha) and restore balance, which is why many Ayurveda retreats focus on cleansing and renewal during this season.\r\n
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, spring is associated with liver health, detoxification and the smooth flow of energy throughout the body.\r\n
Seasonal practices such as Ramadan and Lent also reflect this natural rhythm of pause and reset.\r\n
Today, many wellness retreats combine these time-tested principles with modern medical insight, creating programmes that are both effective and deeply restorative.
One of the biggest challenges in resetting your health is stepping away from daily habits and routines.
A detox retreat or wellness retreat provides:\r\n
In spring, this experience is enhanced by the natural surroundings, whether that’s alpine air, coastal light or blooming landscapes, all of which support a deeper sense of renewal.\r\n
For those seeking a more flexible and modern approach, Longevity Senses Cascais Boutique Hotel & Clinic offers diagnostics-led programmes in a relaxed coastal setting, where the combination of sea air, light and movement naturally supports a gentle but effective reset.
A modern detox retreat is not about extreme fasting or deprivation.
Instead, it focuses on:\r\n
This could include:\r\n
Not all retreats take the same approach.
Some focus on:\r\n
The key is finding the approach that aligns with your goals, your lifestyle and how much support you’re looking for.
Spring isn’t about forcing change — it’s about responding to what your body is already asking for.

\t\tFor many people, the idea of a wellness retreat is closely tied to sunshine - warmer days, time outdoors, and the space to properly reset.\r\n
While long-haul destinations often come to mind, some of the most effective and accessible wellness retreats are much closer to home. Across southern Europe, you’ll find a collection of retreats offering warmth, expert guidance and restorative environments - all within a few hours of the UK.\r\n
Whether you’re looking for a structured detox, a spa-focused escape or a more holistic wellbeing experience, these destinations allow you to step away and reset, without the fatigue of long-distance travel.\r\n
Below, we’ve selected some of the most compelling short-haul wellness retreats in Europe, each offering a distinct approach to wellbeing.\r\n
Why Choose a Short-Haul Wellness Retreat?\r\n
One of the most significant advantages of choosing a wellness retreat in Europe is the ease of travel.\r\n
Shorter flight times mean less physical disruption, allowing you to settle more quickly and start benefiting from your stay sooner. It also makes it easier to take more frequent breaks, which can be more effective for maintaining long-term wellbeing than a single extended trip.\r\n
Importantly, many of these retreats offer the same level of expertise, facilities and outcomes as long-haul destinations - simply in a more accessible format.\r\n
Finding the Right Retreat for You\r\n
The most effective wellness retreat isn’t necessarily the one with the most sunshine - it’s the one that aligns with your needs.\r\n
Some people benefit from structured, medically guided programmes, while others are simply looking for space to rest, reflect and restore.\r\n
If you’re unsure which approach is right for you, our team of wellness travel specialists can guide you - helping you choose a retreat that genuinely supports where you are right now. For more information, contact us and speak to one of our friendly experts.\r\n
