Coronavirus Travel Update


Latest Update - December 2021

The travel traffic light lists have no been scrapped, travelling is now far simpler and closer to normal times. 


For the fully vaccinated you just need to:

  • complete a passenger locator form within 48 hours before arrival back into the UK
  • Show proof of vaccination with your NHS Covid pass
  • From 4am, Tuesday 7 December you must also take a PCR or LFD COVID-19 test within the 2 days before you travel to England.
  • You cannot use an NHS test for your pre-departure PCR test. You must use a private test provider.
  • You will need to enter your COVID-19 test booking reference number on your passenger locator form. 
  • Take a PCR on or before day 2 of arrival back into the UK (here is a list of approved government suppliers).

For the unvaccinated:

  • complete a passenger locator form within 48 hours before arrival back into the UK

  • Quarantine for 10 days on arrival into the UK or 5 days if you take part in the 'test to release scheme' taking a Day 5 Covid test

For Entry Back into Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales:

The requirements travelling back to other parts of the UK differ including the traffic light designation of countries.
