Overview hotel
Six Senses Laamu is set in a palm-fringed lagoon and is the only resort in the Laamu Atoll deep in the Indian Ocean. Laamu Atoll is in Maldives territory.
Resort is beautifully remote, yet accessible by plane and boat from Malé airport. Villas are set either on stilts over the water or on the beachfront and are an easy wander from the resort's restaurants, lounges, and amazing Maldives attractions. This place is ideal for all ocean and water-sports lovers. Don't worry about cabin fever, this small island has all you need - amazing dining, spa, range of fitness facilities, retail shop and open air jungle cinema. Bicycles are available for easy transport around the island.
When to go
Temperatures are fairly constant and reefs feature healthy corals, colorful fish and sea life all year long. The best time to visit in November to April. The wet season is from May to October but it is a perfect time to see turtles nesting and hatching.
What we love
- Head underwater at the house reef. If you snorkel early enough in the morning, you might spot a reef shark or stingray!
- Panoramic ocean views and incredible sunsets and sunrises
- You’ll find bikes with your initials on just in front of your room when you arrival to the resort (and soft peddles for those bare feet, of course).
Who should go
- Couples who wish to stay in an idyllic island location
- All beach and ocean lovers as the water activities are endless
- Anyone who wants to experience a once in a life time holiday
