Dr Annamaria Acquaviva is a dietitian, nutritionist and health coach at the Palazzo di Varignana hotel, in Italy. She has a first-class honours degree from the Medicine and Surgery Faculty at the University of Bologna. Following an initial degree in Pharmacy and the study of phytotherapy, she obtained a degree in Dietetics, gaining clinical experience in various hospital departments, including Nephrology, Pediatrics, Metabolic Disorders, Eating Disorders, Great Obesity and Endocrinology.
She has held conferences on health and nutrition and is a keen speaker when it comes to popularising science-based healthy eating through 'Cuisine of Wellness', lessons and activities aimed at children and adolescents in schools and on TV and radio.
She is a Member of the Board of Directors of ASAND (Technical Scientific Association of Food, Nutrition and Dietetics) and has worked in the creation of campaigns promoting healthy eating. She is the author of the blog HealthRevolution, a social media influencer, and author of the book Bambini a Tavola. Quasi un gioco! (Children at the table. Almost a game!).
At Palazzo di Varignana Dr Annamaria manages the In Forma health retreats. Within these retreats she promotes a philosophy called 'ARS VIVENDI', the art of living well. These retreats are innovative, use the latest scientific findings and aim to stimulate metabolic activity, fight oxidative stress and support the immune system. The retreat menu was designed by Dr Anna, and encourages a healthy diet locally grown produce (including an award-winning extra virgin olive oil).
