Meet Dr Melis Senova
She is an advisor to many influential people, from business leaders to heads-of-state. Melis has a PhD in Human Factors and has been studying the human condition (and designing with people), for over 20 years . She is author of This human, a series of books devoted to building the internal conditions for great and influential work. Her second book, Design Character, will be available later this year. Her current research is geared towards establishing a new field of design cal led Therapeutic Design. This work is due to be published in 2023. Melis teaches within the post-graduate design courses at RMIT and Swinburne University. Melis has lived and worked internationally since 1996, from Japan to Amsterdam, New York to Chennai, she currently resides in Melbourne, Australia.
Meet Brita Fernandez Schmidt
Brita Fernandez Schmidt is globally known as a women’s rights activist, having advocated and promoted women’s rights, women’s empowerment and gender equality for the past 30 years. She is an author, public speaker and certified transformational coach. She has designed her signature programme ‘Step Into Your Power’, which launched in January 2022, based on her experience of working with women from all over the world. Brita works with individuals , groups , organisations and businesses , to create working cultures that are value-led, inclusive, in-powering, innovative and sustainable. She is passionate about promoting alternative models of ‘leadership’ as a response to the urgent problems facing our society and world. Brita trained as Deep Transformational Coach with the Centre for Transformational Coaching. She is also trained in Theory U: Leading from the Emerging Future at MIT and is currently training in individual, collective and intergenerational Trauma Healing with Thomas Huebl. She is Chief Adviser to Fair Share, Ambassador for Compassion in Politics , Ambassador for Common Purpose and Ambassador for Mumble Forum. She is an Ambassador for Women for Women International in Germany, which she cofounded in 2018. For 13 years , Brita served as the Executive Director of Women for Women International – UK. Fears to Fierce (Rider / Ebury) is her first book.
