Wellness
The Ageing Gracefully retreat is hosted by Sophie Benge and is based on her own personal experience with the menopause. From her years working in wellbeing and from her passionate belief that this changing phase of life can be joyful, she wanted to share her wisdom. She curates her retreats to offer a broad range of approaches from women she admires and who had an impact on her.
Sophie will be joined by five health experts including:
Kalindi Jordan, a human energy, psychology and sexuality expert who will take you through a mix of ideas, meditations, movements and breathing to tap into, play with and fully live in your female body. She will be available for a chat in the afternoons.
Dr Annie Neill, a gynaecologist with a special interest in post-reproductive health. She will share her medical expertise and information around hormone replacement therapy and self- care in mid-life. She will be available for a chat in the afternoons.
Jackie McCusker is a nutritional therapist who will share details on the body system and advice on eating to support your hormones and energy levels.
Paola Ferretti Johnson, a qualified practitioner in The Feldenkrais Method who will deliver two classes. You can also book a Functional Intergration Feldenkrais treatment with her.
Susan Winchester is a sound therapist and will deliver a sound bath one evening. You can book a private sound face or body massage with her.

There are 10 rooms is total. The beautiful rooms each have their own individual style and character and each have a private en-suite bathroom.

There are five Goddess Rooms.
The Goddess Rooms have a king size bed.
The king bed cannot be made into twin beds.
This room can accomodate one person only.

There a four Princess Rooms.
The Princess rooms have a super king bed or can be converted into twin beds.
This room can accommodate up to two people.

There is one Queen Suite only.
The Queen Suite has a super-king bed. This Suite can not be made into twin beds.
There is a private ensuite bathroom.
This room can accomoate up to two people.
What’s on the menu
The food is in the style of Ottolenghi. It is not a detox retreat. You will enjoy three meals and homemade snacks during the day. Meals are served in a friendly group environment.


Location
By car
The retreat is 2 hours and 15 minutes drive from London.
If you are travelling by train, there is a train from London Victoria to Adisham which takes 1 hour and 40 minutes followed by a 10 minute taxi. Or you can get a train to Canterbury which also takes 1 hour and 40 minutes followed by a 40 minute taxi.

Families, Children & Infants
The retreat is strictly for women. Due to the nature of the retreat, children are not allowed.Why Wellbeing Escapes?
