Prakriti Shakti
Kerala, India
Overview
A NABH-accredited naturopathy hospital, Prakriti Shakti focuses on restoring balance through four core pillars: the elements of nature, diet, yoga and energy medicine, as opposed to using invasive treatments. Holistic therapies – from soothing massages to guided movement – are prescribed daily following consultation, to support the body’s own ability to heal.
Programmes start from seven days, and are tailored to target a variety of concerns, from weight management and depression to stress and digestive issues. Every detail of your stay is personalised, from the food you eat (juiced, raw, colourful, detoxifying) to your daily treatments (mud wraps, reflexology walks and more) and yoga sessions (Asanas, Kriyas or meditative). And with an impressive staff to guest ratio, you’re guaranteed first-class, attentive service throughout the experience.

Wellness
Unlike most Indian retreats, which focus on the ancient practice of Ayurveda, wellness at Prakriti Shakti is rooted in naturopathy. Naturopathy takes a stripped-back approach to wellbeing, encouraging the body to reset and heal naturally through food, movement, rest and time in nature as opposed to using medication or invasive therapies. The core elements include diet therapy and fasting, yoga and meditation, hydro, mud, and sun therapies, and energy medicine to restore balance across body, mind, and spirit.Programmes run for a minimum of seven days and are personalised to address a range of concerns, including weight management, obesity, hypertension, cardiac health, low mood, stress, sleep, respiratory issues, gynaecological issues and digestive health. Each programme is guided by medical consultation, and you’ll check in with your doctor daily.
Treatments are delivered in 13 dedicated therapy rooms and the rest of the facilities are intentionally simple, and include a healing centre, yoga sala, and reflexology walking track, with the natural surroundings forming an essential part of the healing process. To help calm the mind and deepen the healing experience, the team encourages minimal use of phones and other devices during your stay. If you do need to use them, please do so in your room or the lounge next to the lobby.
