Overview hotel
Thermae Sylla Spa & Wellness Hotel sits on Evia, Greece’s second-largest island, in the seaside town of Edipsos on the north-west coast. The area is famed for its naturally warm thermal springs, long celebrated for their restorative qualities.
From the hotel, it’s an easy five-minute stroll into the village, where you’ll find a mix of local tavernas and shops. Athens’ Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport is around two and a half hours away, including a scenic ferry crossing to the island of about 40 minutes. Ferries run daily between 6am and 7pm.
When to go
The best time to visit Evia is from March to November when the weather is warm and there is limited rainfall. The hottest month is August where the average temperature is 30 degrees.
What we love
- Traditional and welcoming, with a great location next to sandy beaches and close to quaint villages
- The hotel has its own organic farm on the mainland, where they make their own olive oil (used in the restaurants)
- The indoor pool is emptied and refilled every day
Who should go
- Those who need to escape from a stressful life and rebalance
- If you love thermal waters, this hotel should be at the top of your list
- if you want thermal treatments combined with a seaside getaway
