Traditional Chinese Medicine at SHA Wellness Clinic

Meet Philippa Harvey

Philippa Harvey is a fully qualified Practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine and also has an MSc in Applied Psychology as well as being a practitioner of Bio-resonance. With over 15 years experience in health and wellbeing matters Philippa considers herself a health systems theorist. Because her first degree in business and economics took her along the path if ICT. She combines over 18 years of our understanding of technology systems with a career move into health care and its own systems. The body has a bio-electronic function which is governed with electro magnetism. TCM has its roots in this principle; tradition calls this QI, Energy or Prana. She believes that bioelectronics allows us to interact with our environment to survive. We need to understand, and balance this interaction within our environment, both our internal and external ecosystem to be the best of ourselves.

After practicing TCM since 2004 and seeing 1000´s of patients she has applied her systems theory into a highly effective practical methodology. This is called (H3 +1) ©. She is in the process of writing a book about the methodology, with an optional work book to have integrated learning. Using systems theory, with creativity embraced in TCM and eco-psychology she believes we can learn about ourselves, about nature and our personal interconnection with it. This leads to happiness and health.

Currently she has her own practice, in Alicante, and she is also head of the TCM department at SHA Wellness Clinic in Spain, a world leader in integrative health care.

Philosophically she follows The Right Livelihood as a concept where body, mind spiritual health and material well-being are not enemies, they are natural allies. In modern days we can successfully blend heritage with the benefits of modern technology.

She believes that human energy, or bio electricity, is the most important source of renewable energy and that the unity between nature and the person's spirit is indispensable for balance. Modern society and the lack of connectivity to our own ecosystems, inside our body and outside us create disease, both physical and mental. We need to find the way to internal coherence.

The constant research in understanding the impact of electromagnetism or bio electricity on our body and its impact on health, and how we fit into the nature of this balance is her passion

Outside work, she practices what she preaches. She is passionate about reconnecting to herself through nature, eco health. She practices shinrin yoku, Aikido, does standing up paddle sup down rivers and the sea, and loves kayaking. You may find her doing some rock climbing. She meditates through creativity. As a good Zen paraphrase says “if you can’t sit still for 5 minutes, sit for 10”. So she uses sculpture, art and photography to centre her coherence.
