About Daios Cove

One of Crete’s top luxury hotels, Daios Cove is a five-star resort with a dreamy setting on a private cove. The property’s low-rise stone buildings cascade down to a sandy beach and turquoise shallows below, giving way to palm-freckled gardens, landscaped pathways and an infinity pool with sweeping views across the bay.

Lots come for the wellness offering – heralded by the ultra-chic KEPOS by Goco Spa. Here, you can indulge in advanced treatments including cryotherapy, hyperbaric oxygen, and thermal bathing, alongside traditional massages, facials, and beauty services. Fitness enthusiasts can use the BXR London gym, Mind & Body studio, and tennis academy.

Dining is diverse, with six restaurants serving everything from traditional Cretan to contemporary Italian cuisine. There are three stylish bars, too – a poolside number, a beach club with sunset DJ sets, and a Champagne and cocktail spot with a lounge music soundtrack.

As for families? They’re really well catered for, with a crèche, kids’ club, and activities that range from watersports to cycling.

The hotel is open between 20 April and 7 November 2026.

Wellness at Daios Cove

The state-of-the-art KEPOS by Goco Spa combines holistic treatments with advanced technology, with high-tech offerings that include cryotherapy, infrared sauna, hyperbaric oxygen, IV vitamin infusions, colonic hydrotherapy, and diagnostic tests including epigenetics and Styku 3D.

The thermal bathing suite features a heated pool, Finnish sauna, steam room, and experience showers, and additional facilities include treatment rooms, a hammam, Thai massage suite, a beauty area and a hair salon.

Daios Cove has partnered with BXR London (a high-end boxing gym) to bring guests a comprehensive training experience. The equipment in the fitness area is cutting-edge, with an outdoor training and cardio zone in addition to indoor space. There are also tennis courts on-site. Head over to the Mind & Body Studio, meanwhile, to slow down the pace with yoga, Pilates and sound baths.

What’s on the menu?

In true Greek style, Daios Cove takes a straightforward approach to food. Menus are built by award-winning chefs around local, seasonal ingredients.

There are six restaurants and three bars to choose from, serving everything from wood-fired Cretan classics to expertly mixed cocktails (the Beach House tipples were coined by Athens-based mixologists, the Clumsies).

Families are well catered for, with children’s menus available in every restaurant. Adults-only breakfast is served at Taverna, while RHO offers child-free dinners.

Most menus include a selection of lighter, healthier dishes (look for the Kepos label). An in-house nutritionist is also on hand to help tailor choices for specific dietary needs – ideal if you want to feel good as well as well fed!

Staying in a Deluxe Room or Deluxe Junior Suite? You’ll enjoy breakfast and dinner served buffet-style at Pangea Restaurant. You can also choose the dine-around option, which allows you to eat at any à la carte restaurant for dinner, with a €20 per person allowance deducted from your bill.

Guests staying in a Suite, Collection Suite or Villa have an all-inclusive set-up, with meals and a curated selection of beverages included throughout their stay.

Your accommodation at Daios Cove

Daios Cove has 165 rooms, 85 suites, 40 villas, and a three-bedroom mansion. All overlook the bay, and lots come with a private saltwater pool. Each room includes a balcony, living area, and bathtub, designed in a Cretan style inspired by water and earth.

The Collection Suites are aimed at wellness-focused guests, with minimalist high-end design and extra inclusions such as sleep aromatherapy, a nutrition-focused mini bar, herbal infusions, personal hydration stations, yoga mats, and stretch bands. Guests also enjoy a complimentary Pnoe Biometrics session and breath analysis.

Just so you know, a Climate Change Resilience Tax of €15 per room per night applies, payable at the hotel.

  • The views of the sparkling Aegean Sea from every angle, from yoga practice in the studio to cocktail sipping in the bar

Who Should Go

  • Families looking for a self-care break, while little ones enjoy the kids' club

LOCATION

Daios Cove has an idyllic setting overlooking a beautiful bay just outside Agios Nikolaos. It’s less than a 15-minute drive to the pretty harbourfront town, which has a great line-up of handcraft boutiques authentic tavernas serving up local fare. The resort has its own private beach, complete with sunbeds and umbrellas. The nearest airport is Heraklion, which is a 50-minute drive away.

The hotel is fairly remote, so getting around requires a taxi or hire car, and there are no shops or restaurants within walking distance. As it’s built on a hillside, we wouldn’t recommend it for guests with mobility issues.

Ask the team about local excursions, including a luxury RIB ride around Mirabello Bay and boat trips to the fascinating island of Spinalonga.

WHEN TO GO

Crete enjoys a Mediterranean climate all year round, so tends to be warm for most of the year. January is usually the coolest month.
