Best retreats for Stress

April is Stress Awareness Month, and with stress now widely recognised as contributing to poor physical and mental health outcomes, it is crucial that we take it seriously. Chronic stress in particular often remains unnoticed, as its symptoms can be subtle and easily normalized. What are some common signs to watch out for?
Physical Symptoms - Frequent headaches. muscle tension or pain, digestive issues such as IBS, insomnia or sleep disorders, fatigue or low energy levels, weakened immune system leading to frequent illnesses
Emotional Symptoms - Persistent feelings of anxiety or worry, irritability or moodiness, feeling overwhelmed or unable to cope, low self esteem or feelings of worthlessness, feeling agitated or restless, difficulty concentrating or making decisions
Cognitive Symptoms - Racing thoughts or constant worrying, memory problems or difficulty concentrating, negative self-talk or a consistently pessimistic outlook, heightened sensitivity to criticism or perceived threats
While most of us will suffer from some of these symptoms from time to time, we should truthfully ask ourselves if we consistently see many of these symptoms in ourselves. If so, there are many ways to address them. One of which is going on a retreat that will take you away from your day to day stressors and teach you the tools to start you on your stress management journey. This does not mean that you will magically banish all symptoms, but it will give you time to just focus solely on yourself and become aware of what you can do to help yourself slowly and consistently. It will be the beginning of your journey. Below I have highlighted which retreats in my opinion have the best pedigree to help you with your stress management journey.
