One of Carole Caplin’s most significant areas of work is her long-standing commitment to charity and veteran support. She has coordinated teams of ScarWork volunteer practitioners supporting wounded, injured and sick veterans at the Invictus Games through the Help for Heroes charity, and has also been involved in weekend Invictus training clinics.
She works directly with veterans through organisations including Combat Stress, supporting former servicemen and women experiencing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression and PTSD, as well as the West London Mission, which supports people affected by homelessness, poverty and trauma.
Much of this work is delivered through the Healing Hands Network in the UK. In 2018, Carole also completed a two-week voluntary tour in Bosnia, providing ScarWork therapy and rehabilitation exercise programmes to survivors affected by war and its aftermath.
