The resort’s wellness offering is anchored by the award-winning spa, Serenity – The Art of Wellbeing, where treatments sit alongside yoga, Pilates, fitness classes and longer wellness programmes. Guests staying in Ocean Suites enjoy complimentary access to the spa’s Thermal Oasis, and easy access to the health-focused restaurant, Zest.
There’s plenty elsewhere to keep you busy too, thanks to a nine-hole golf course, tennis and padel academy, watersports, and multiple outdoor pools. Dining is also lovely and varied, with nine restaurants and two bars to choose from. Plus, there’s a private sandy beach – you can reach it via a lift and a five-minute walk.
Everyone is welcome at Pine Cliffs Resort. The minimum age for the spa is 16 years, while access to the Thermal Oasis at Serenity spa is restricted to guests 18 and over. Younger children are still welcome to enjoy age-appropriate spa experiences such as princess nails, facials or body massages.
Children under 16 may use the large indoor swimming pool, and younger guests are well catered for with dedicated clubs. The Junior Club is for ages eight to 13, while the Porto Pirata Kids' Club – featuring a pirate ship and a children’s village – is designed for six months to eight years.
The spa offers a broad range of programmes, from Pilates and fitness journeys to weight management and chakra balancing. Facilities include 13 treatment rooms, an indoor hydrotherapy pool, outdoor jacuzzi, steam room, herbal sauna, Himalayan salt sauna, ice fountain, experience showers, indoor and outdoor relaxation areas, and a hairdresser.
The Active Club, meanwhile, sits within the Pine Cliffs Hotel and has a 24-hour gym with sea views and a large heated outdoor pool, plus space for nutrition consultations. A weekly schedule of group fitness classes is available (classes are chargeable, with some included in selected spa packages). There's a tennis and padel academy, too.
Just so you know, there are no spa programmes available in August.
If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option or want sea views, Pine Cliffs Hotel is a great alternative. The hotel sits in a central area of the resort close to the main facilities and beach access. The Active Health Club is here, too.
Both Pine Cliffs Hotel and Pine Cliffs Ocean Suites have their own entrance, reception and concierge teams, and are connected to each other for easy access. A mandatory facility fee applies and is charged per accommodation per night: Pine Cliffs Hotel is €15 and Ocean Suites €20.
Pine Cliffs Resort sits high on the Algarve’s striking red cliffs, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and offering direct access to a secluded sandy beach. You can reach it via a lift through the cliffs, followed by an easy five-minute walk to the shore. Lively Albufeira is just a 15-minute drive away, while the marina, golf courses and restaurants of Vilamoura can be reached in around 25 minutes. #
Faro Airport is a 30-minute drive away.
