Spread over seven acres of land full of tropical and indigenous trees, herbal medicinal plants and overlooking the Indian Ocean, Siddhalepa Ayurveda Health Resort offers the ideal space to embark on your Ayurvedic Journey. This beachfront resort is located on the South/Western coast of Sri Lanka. Backed by a heritage of Ayurveda practice, you’ll be guided by the expert care of the resident physicians, visiting consultants and hospital training therapists to achieve your health goal. When to go

It is mild all year round. The hottest month is usually April. December to March is usually the best time to travel as this is when the sea is calmest.

Yoga and Ayurveda Programme

This traditional Ayurveda programme offers daily treatment of minimum 2.5 hours as prescribed by the Ayurvedic doctor. A schedule of yoga and meditation is also included as well as daily 10 minute follow up consultation with the doctor to see your progress. This programme is designed for 7 nights but longer stay is available too.

Wellness

The dedicated Ayurveda centre is at the heart of the resort. You’ll be under the expert guidance and care of the resident physicians and visiting consultants affiliated with their Ayurveda Hospital in Mount Lavinia. All programmes are tailor-made according to your needs and goals starting with a Ayurvedic consultation with the doctor who will personalise your daily Ayurvedic treatments.

Rooms

There are 50 rooms in total with a choice of Superior Terrace, Superior Balcony, Deluxe Bungalow and Deluxe Suite. Most rooms feature ocean views and combine the island’s traditional aesthetics with contemporary comforts and an eco-friendly design including the use of solar energy for hot water. There is no Wi-Fi in the bedrooms to encourage you to switch off from technology, if you must use the Wi-Fi - you can find it in the lobby. 



Superior Terrace

The Superior Terrace rooms are 42 sqm and can accommodate up to 2 people.  

They have either a double bed or twin beds. 

There is a seating area and private terrace with views of the swimming pool.  

There is a private en-suite bathroom with a two-person bathtub and rain shower.  

Facilities include air conditioning, fan, telephone, fridge, safe, Ayurveda tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer.

Superior Balcony

The Superior Balcony rooms are 42 sqm and can accommodate up to 2 people. 

They have either a double bed or twin beds.  

There is a seating area and private balcony with views of the beautiful gardens and the Indian Ocean in the distance.  

There is a private en-suite bathroom.  

Facilities include air conditioning, fan, telephone, fridge, safe, Ayurveda tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer.

Deluxe Sea View

The Deluxe Bungalows are 49 sqm and can accommodate up to 2 people.  

They have either a double or twin bed.  

The bungalows are built like chalets using natural materials and lets you connect with nature.  

There is a spacious living area with private terrace with views of the ocean. 

Facilities include air conditioning, fan, DVD player on request, telephone, fridge, safe, Ayurveda tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryer.

Deluxe Suite

The Deluxe Suites are 65 sqm and can accommodate up to 2 people.  

They have a four-poster king size bed.  

There is a living area with comfortable sofas and a large terrace/balcony with seating. You also have a private dining area and private spa treatment area  

There is a luxurious open-to-the-sky bathroom with large bathtub.

What’s on the menu

The food here is very carefully considered ensuring that mealtimes are not only delicious but memorable for guests. The menus include age-old recipes with unique twists and with the focus on balancing the three doshas. The Ayurvedic cuisine consists of mainly vegetarian meals with white fish options. The Ayurvedic physicians are always on hand to give advice on speciality healthy diets.

Location

Tucked away along Sri Lanka’s southern coastline amidst palm trees and tropical greenery, Siddhalepa provides an idyllic place away from the stresses of everyday life. The resort is close to the town of Kalutara with its impressive temples but also right on the beach, so you get the best of both worlds.

Nearest airport

 Colombo Airport is approximately 1 hour, 30 minutes by car. 


Visa and entry:

You will need a visa to enter Sri Lanka. You can do apply online for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) here.

On arrival visa facilities are available, however applying for an ETA before travel is advised for ease of travel and to prevent delays on arrival.

As of December 2022 travellers are no longer required to produce COVID-19 vaccination certificates on arrival in Sri Lanka. Pre-departure COVID-19 tests are also no longer required before arrival.
