Amanwella's spa is a place of relaxation - listen to the waves of the Indian Ocean and the gentle breath of coconut palms. Treatments will incorporate ingredients from Sri Lanka's herbs, plants and flowers and therapist will ensure that every treatment will be tailored to your needs. Spa is taking inspiration from Ayurveda and you will be able to enjoy traditional warm-oil treatments. Treatments can be arranged in the comfort of your own room, either inside or in the courtyard. What’s on the menu
Resort has 3 restaurants and also offers a private dining option which can be arranged in your room, on the beach or in multiple settings off the property.
Apart from these dining options you can chose something a bit different such as Village Dinner - you will travel by tuktuk for a dinner in a typical Sri Lankan village with a local family or Roti Feast - dinner in a traditional home surrounded by jungle where the family will prepare a roti meal. Cooking classes can also be organised.

Nearest airport
Colombo International airport is 212 km away and car transfer would take about 2 hours and 45 minutes.There are direct flight from London to Sri Lanka (Colombo) which takes approximately 11 hours and is operated by Sri-Lankan Airlines.
Visa and entry:
You will need a visa to enter Sri Lanka. To apply you will need a booking confirmation, return flight ticket and a proof of medical insurance.
Visa cost $35 and you can apply online here.
If you have not been vaccinated against COVID-19 a negative PCR test is required prior to boarding your flight. Test must be no older than 72 hours.
Second test will be taken within 24 hours of arrival
If departing within less than 14 days a further test is required a couple of days prior to departure otherwise a third test is required on day 11 to 14 in resort, if tests are negative you are permitted to leave the hotel
If you have had both vaccine doses of COVID-19 with at least 2 weeks prior to arrival will be required to produce original copy of vaccination certificate in English.
PCR test will be required within 24 hours of arrival and if negative will be able to leave the hotel.
We will arrange for your tests in Sri Lanka to be carried out at the retreat and organise your mandatory Covid insurance ($132 for 3 PCR tests and Covid insurance to be paid on booking).
Families, Children & Infants
Kids are allowed at the resort but hotel is not recommended for very young children. There is no kids club. Older kids over 12 will love the beach and nature.Why Wellbeing Escapes?
