Wellness
Évian has created a unique wellness concept found in only a handful of iconic destinations worldwide – Hôtel Royal among them. Its recently refurbished 1,700-square-metre spa offers an immersive experience inspired by the natural life cycle of Evian mineral water. Over 15 years, the water filters through the Alps before emerging pure and balanced at the surface – a journey that begins with rain and snowfall and ends in a reservoir rich in vitality. Treatments are designed to mirror this process, promising to bring the rejuvenating benefits of the mountains to your body and mind.
Facilities include 14 treatment rooms, a relaxation lounge, indoor and outdoor heated pools, a hot tub, sauna, steam room, cold plunge and a snow cave, along with a beauty, nail and hair salon. The outdoor hydro circuit – an 80-square-metre hot tub kept at 33°C – is a highlight, designed to ease tension and encourage deep relaxation.
For something more active, there’s a fully equipped fitness space, tennis and padel courts, a multisport field, golf simulator and access to the Évian Resort Golf Club & Academy. The on-site Sport & Culture team can help organise everything from equipment to lessons.

What’s on the menu
You can choose from three restaurants and a bar at Hotel Royal, with dining led by Michelin-starred chef, Patrice Vander. This is fine dining shaped by the seasons and rooted in local produce, with much of it grown in the hotel’s own 3,000 square-metre garden. Fish comes fresh from Lake Geneva, with cheese, meat and eggs sourced from the surrounding region. Menus also include lighter, health-focused dishes, alongside vegetarian and gluten-free options.
The hotel is available on a room-only or bed and breakfast basis. Lunch and dinner can be enjoyed across the resort’s restaurants and are paid for locally.
Location
Set in 19 acres of restored parkland, the hotel overlooks Lake Geneva with the Alps just behind, in the elegant spa town of Évian-les-Bains. The lakeside promenade, marina, cobbled streets and summer market are all an easy walk away.
This is an ideal base for exploring outdoors, with hiking, biking, golf and more nearby, and skiing just 15 minutes away. Montreux and the Portes du Soleil are within 45 minutes, and Geneva, and the nearest airport, is around an hour’s drive. Helicopter transfers can be arranged and take around 15 minutes.
A complimentary shuttle runs daily between the hotel, town centre, golf club, casino and spa from early morning until late evening. From May to September, the free funicular links the resort to the town centre.
Families, Children & Infants
