Epic Sana is a chic hotel located along the golden coastline of the Algarve. Set away amidst pine forests and overlooking the beaches below, it offers the perfect place to escape and relax. The resort centres around the Sayanna Wellness Centre which takes inspiration from Oriental holistic treatments. Here you can enjoy a range of spa treatments and make the most of the 24-hour gym. The hotel has five outdoor swimming pools and an indoor swimming pool as well as three restaurants and two bars so you have plenty of choice here. Sayanna Wellness at Epic Sana offers dedicated retreats. Retreats offer a carefully selected treatments as well as dedicated wellness assistance who will personalise your entire programme, set goals and objectives according to your needs and physical condition and capabilities. The Sayanna Welless Spa & Fitness Centre is at the heart of Epic Sana. Strongly inspired by oriental treatments, the spa invites you to improve the wellbeing of your mind and body and offers a range of spa therapies including Vichy water treatments and relaxing massages. The spa is strictly for over 16’s only.

Facilities include 8 treatment rooms, a Vichy shower room, sauna, Turkish bath, indoor spa relaxation pool (adults only), another indoor swimming pool and a fitness centre (open 24 hours a day).

Rooms

There are 229 rooms and suites in total including 162 rooms, 24 garden suites and 43 resort suites and ranging from Deluxe to Deluxe Suites. All rooms have a modern design and state-of-the-art facilities and all enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi.

The Deluxe room with Resort Views are blocked for clients on the Retreat programme. Upgrade to another room category can be arranged at extra cost.

Deluxe Room Resort View

This room is 32m2 and can accommodate up to 2 adults. They are in the main building.

The rooms have a king-size bed or twin beds with a private balcony or decking terrace overlooking the resort and gardens.

They have a private en-suite bathroom with shower (walk-in/rain shower) and a bathtub.

Facilities include hairdryer, complimentary Wi-Fi, bathrobe and slippers, LED screen TV, digital TV channels, telephone, coffee machine, mini-bar, air-conditioning and safe.

Deluxe room Pool View

What’s on the menu

Each retreat includes a specific meal plan. Meals are served in Abyad restaurant

Mindfulness retreat includes breakfast buffet.

Yoga retreat includes half board which is buffet breakfast and dinner.

De Stress and Body & Soul Detox retreat includes full board with breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as 2 healthy juices a day.

Reshape retreat comes with breakfast, lunch and dinner plus 2 snacks (mid morning and afternoon).

Abyad Restaurant

The main restaurant which is open all year round. This is where you will find a more relaxed atmosphere inspired by International cuisine adapted to bring out the best in the regional ingredients. There is also outdoor seating available. The buffet breakfast is served here. For dinner it will be buffet style or a la carte (depending on the hotel's occupancy).

Location

Only a short walk inland from the beaches, Epic Sana is hidden along the road from Albufeira. Both Vilamoura and Albuferia are only a short distance away.

For a lovely coastal cliff top walk you can walk to Vilamoura marina in 45 minutes for restaurants and boutiques.

Nearest airport

Faro Airport is approximately 40 minutes by car. There are plenty of flights to Faro throughout the year and the flight time is approximately 2.5 hours.

Families, Children & Infants

The ‘Little Star’s Kids Club is open for children aged between 4 – 12 years old. They offer activities such as team games, artwork, cinema, face painting, gymkhana, origami and cooking workshops. It is only open during the summer months.

It was slightly more expensive than Sianji in Turkey but it is a level up. When you consider what you get in the half board package it is actually reasonable. The food is outstanding. The spa is fabulous, the pools are lovely with adult and kids pool separately too. I went in Sept so not really any kids anyway. The service including the room, reception, pool boys, waiters are all so lovely. The beach where it is situated is probably one of the best in the world.
