About Fontsanta Hotel Thermal Spa & Wellness

This five-star boutique retreat is surrounded by protected natural parkland in Mallorca’s south-east. It's peaceful and secluded but is close to Es Trenc – one of the island’s best beaches – and surrounded by a network of walking and cycling trails. The estate itself is charming and authentic, with stone walls, green shutters and sun-washed terraces that open onto gardens filled with palms and olive trees.

The star turn is the retreat’s spa, built around the only natural thermal springs in the Balearics, which bubble up at a toasty 38 degrees and are rich in minerals. Guests can unwind in various relaxation and bathing areas, including individual stone baths, a heated pool, whirlpool, sauna and steam room.

Elsewhere, you’ll find two outdoor pools tucked among the landscaped grounds, plus space for morning yoga sessions. The on-site restaurant, meanwhile, is the place to savour seasonal Mediterranean fare.

Just so you know, Fontsanta Hotel is adults only.

Wellness at Fontsanta Hotel Thermal Spa & Wellness

The name Fontsanta comes from the Roman ‘Font Santa’, meaning holy fountain – a nod to the thermal waters that rise naturally from underground at 38 degrees. Rich in minerals, including sodium and chlorine, the water is distinctly salty, with traces of magnesium, calcium, sulphur, fluorine and potassium. Long valued for their restorative properties, these waters are known to support circulation, ease muscular tension and help soothe both skin and respiratory concerns.

The spa is made up of a series of calming spaces. The Bathing Area centres around a thermal pool with underwater jets, alongside a Finnish sauna and steam room. In the Tonification Area, you’ll find an ice fountain, bucket shower and a sensation shower. There’s also a quiet room for relaxation, as well as a more secluded space with water beds. You'll spot thoughtful extras throughout, too – like fresh and dried fruit and infused water.

For movement, there’s a light-filled yoga studio and a compact gym with all the essentials, including cardio machines, free weights and space for stretching or Pilates.
