At Dharana at Shillim, wellness is a transformative journey rooted in holistic health and functional medicine. By addressing the root causes of imbalances, personalised therapies support sustainable lifestyle change, helping to restore vitality, reduce disease risk and enhance overall wellbeing.
The retreat goes beyond physical health, encouraging conscious living, mental clarity, emotional healing and spiritual growth. A wide range of health programmes is available, including detox, fitness and sustainable weight management, immunity boosting, stress relief, mental resilience and yoga.
Guests have access to expert physicians and fitness specialists, alongside in-depth wellness assessments that incorporate microbiome analysis and metabolic profiling to assess physical health, energy levels and cognitive function. This type of healing's supported by meditation and yoga gurus, spiritual practitioners and skilled massage and bodywork therapists.
As for the wellness facilities? They include consultation rooms, private treatment villas and Jalayu – a state-of-the-art hydrothermal pavilion with a hydrotherapy pool, infrared room, hot tub and steam room. Spaces for reflection include the Dhyana meditation cave and open-air yoga shala. There’s also a high-tech Neuroreactive Training Lab, designed to enhance mental performance, a physical restoration studio, guided Vedanta sessions (ancient Indian philosophy), and a daily Dharana Aarti ritual, which aims to balance the five elements within.
Guests taking part in health programmes are provided with white cotton kurta sets to wear throughout their stay. Bicycles are available on request.
