There are just 27 villas here, which echo traditional Konkan architecture – clean and simple in design and each with their own yoga deck. Speaking of yoga, it’s at the heart of an experience here, with daily sessions complemented by meditation and an Ayurveda spa for personalised treatments. Other highlights include art classes, storytelling sessions, beach walks and nature trails, plus a forest-facing swimming pool for cooling dips.
Just so you know, the minimum guest age at SwaSwara is 15. 15 to 18-year-olds can enjoy medical or Ayurvedic treatments with the Ayurveda doctor’s approval, while spa facilities and therapies are reserved for those 18 and above. Younger guests are welcome to take part in all other activities, such as yoga, meditation, treks, art classes and swimming.
Yoga is at the heart of a SwaSwara stay, with resident teachers offering at least five Hatha yoga classes daily for all levels in a dedicated hall or outdoors. Complementing this ancient practice are authentic Ayurveda and naturopathic spa treatments, overseen by qualified doctors. At the resort’s centre, you’ll find a thatched meditation dome with stunning forest views. There's also a meditation platform tucked among the grounds.
Just so you know, pick-and-choose spa treatments aren’t part of this holistic approach, keeping the focus on curated wellness experiences focused on goals like detox and sleep. Beyond your prescribed therapies and movement sessions, you can enjoy art classes, storytelling, and the retreat's plentiful spots for quiet reflection.
The nearest airport is Goa International, a three-and-a-half-hour drive from the retreat.
