A five-star Sicilian sanctuary among Mediterranean gardens, Almar Giardino di Costanza offers elegant rooms and private beach access. Its star feature, though, is the Almablu Spa, which has a sleek, Roman-Arab-Norman design, thermal pools, saunas and a long list of energy-balancing treatments.
Almar Giardino di Costanza Resort & Spa is a five-star sanctuary on Sicily’s west coast, nestled in a Mediterranean park filled with centuries-old olive trees and fragrant citrus groves. The resort’s elegant rooms and suites open onto private balconies or terraces, showcasing views of gardens, fountains and pretty courtyards.
The state-of-the-art Almablu Wellness & Spa draws inspiration from the island’s Roman, Arab, and Norman heritage. Ultra-chic in design, it has atmospheric mood lighting and grey marble finishes. R&R is easy to come by here, thanks to thermal pools, saunas, and tranquil relaxation areas.
At the heart of the spa experience is Qi-balancing, based on Traditional Chinese Medicine principles. Treatments focus on releasing tension and restoring energetic harmony via massage, reflexology, and holistic rituals. Throw in a palm-fringed outdoor pool and traditional Sicilian cuisine, and you’ve got a great base for relaxing in the sunshine.
Just so you know, the hotel welcomes guests of all ages but is more suited to adults. There’s no kids’ club, but babysitting can be arranged.
The spa’s 2,700 square-metre design is a journey through Sicily’s history, with areas reflecting the Roman, Arab and Norman influences that shaped the island. The Roman-Arab hammam recreates the thermal baths of ancient Rome, with a tepidarium, caldarium and a Turkish salt bath. The Norman area features a bio-sauna, Finnish sauna, ice cascade and cold plunge pool.
The resort also has a spacious fitness area with modern equipment.
Just so you know, the The Roman-Arab hammam is closed until further notice.
The rooms reflect the spa’s Traditional Chinese Medicine ethos, intentionally styled to create a sense of balance and calm. All feature high, semi-vaulted ceilings, soft colour palettes and fine wood furnishings, blending traditional Sicilian style with contemporary comfort. The suites are particularly spacious, with large French windows that fill the space with light. You’ll find a range of complimentary exclusive Almablu amenities in the bathroom, too.
The hotel is in the heart of Mazara del Vallo, a seafront town rich in history and character – think Baroque architecture, centuries-old churches and spindly lanes that echo a Middle Eastern kasbah. The historic wine town of Marsala, famous for its salt pans and lagoons, is around 45 minutes away and makes for an easy day trip.
Palermo Airport is the nearest major airport, with a transfer time of around 70 minutes, while smaller Trapani Airport is closer (around 50 minutes by car). The hotel’s private sandy beach, Lido di Costanza, is a 15-minute drive away – a complimentary shuttle runs at scheduled times throughout the day.
