Sleek Arabic design meets striking desert-to-sea scenery at the Six Senses Zighy Bay. Other highlights include villas with private pools, a superb mountaintop restaurant, nurturing wellness experiences and adventures on land and water.
The extraordinary setting is just one reason to love this ultra-stylish resort, which is fringed by rugged mountains and overlooks a belt of sand on Oman’s Musandam Peninsula. Designed to mirror an authentic Omani village, it’s a sanctuary that feels both luxurious and welcoming, with design-led Arabic interiors and villas with private pools.
Wellness centres on the award-winning spa, which majors in holistic therapies and natural treatments. Elsewhere, you’ll find an infinity pool that winds down towards the shoreline, and a saltwater pool with a miniature island.
Dining is something special here – the centrepiece is an acclaimed mountaintop restaurant that shows off captivating sunsets. You can also look forward to meals on the sand, delicious regional dishes and in-room service.
Beyond the resort, the Musandam Peninsula offers everything from mountain hikes and paragliding to dhow cruises, snorkelling and village excursions, making this an ideal base for both relaxation and adventure.
Zighy Bay welcomes all ages. Chaica’s Club has activities for four to 10-year-olds, while teenagers have their own dedicated space with adventure hikes, wadi swimming and more. Families can also enjoy Cinema Paradiso, where films are screened on the beach under the stars.
In keeping with the rest of the resort, the award-winning Six Senses Spa is designed in traditional Omani and Arabic style. There’s an integrated approach to wellness here, bringing together advanced technology, nutrition, movement and mindfulness, with programmes spanning focuses like detox, yoga and weight management. Treatments include massages and scrubs using locally sourced ingredients like frankincense, goat's milk, honey, and sea salt. There are holistic options with an energetic focus, too – think Reiki, shiatsu and foot acupressure.
Facilities include nine treatment rooms, a Finnish sauna, steam room, ice cave, two Arabian-style hammams, a fitness centre, jungle gym, tennis court and a yoga pavilion with beautiful sunrise views.
The Pool Villas combine traditional Omani design with modern comforts. Each villa features thoughtful touches like a spacious bathtub and a private infinity pool, alongside practical amenities including tea and coffee facilities, a hairdryer and satellite TV.
Dubai International Airport is a 120-minute drive from the resort. All guests are required to send a passport copy at least three days before arrival, so that a border pass can be arranged for crossing the UAE–Oman checkpoint.
