Overview hotel

Six Senses Zighy Bay is in the northern Musandam Peninsula in the Sultanate of Oman. It is set in a secluded fishing village with mountains on one side and the sandy beach of Zighy Bay (1.6km long) on the other. Landscape is dominated by rugged mountains, hidden villages and crystal clear waters of the Gulf of Oman. The Musandam Peninsula is the perfect natural playground for adventure seekers with about 70 experiences available.

When to go

The high season is from November to April when outdoor and daytime activities such as hiking and biking are popular. The warmer months from May to September is when there is a large variety of indoor and evening activities.

What we love

  • Yoga classes at sunset on the roof of the spa looking out across the Arabian Sea - is there any better way to end your day?
  • The ginger tea after each treatment, giving you time to extend your state of relaxation
  • The fact that you can explore from the resort - a great optional excursion is the boat adventure, showcasing spectacular coastal scenery and stunning views of the Musandam Mountains.

Who should go

  • If you need some time out to give your body (and mind) a rest
  • Couples love it here and especially the private swimming pool in each villa so you can cocoon yourself away from the world
  • It’s ideal for family members of all ages with plenty of activities and water sports to keep everyone happy.
