Overview
In signature Six Senses style, wellness here is holistic and personalised. Standouts include the beachfront ‘nests’ for treatments, rooftop yoga sessions and mindful experiences grounded in nature. Dining is impressive, too, with open-air restaurants serving the likes of Japanese fusion fare and organic garden-to-table dishes.
Water babies will feel right at home. Just offshore lies one of the Maldives’ largest wave breaks, making Laamu a magnet for surfers. There are also vibrant reefs to explore, plus an infinity-edge pool. Bicycles are provided, so making your way around is easy, too.
Children of all ages are welcome at Six Senses Laamu. The Den kids’ club caters for children aged three to 11, while babysitting services are available at an additional charge. Younger guests can enjoy a dedicated children’s spa menu.

Wellness
The superb Six Senses Laamu Spa is right on the beach, with therapy rooms with ocean views or tucked among the greenery for added privacy. Staying true to the Six Senses philosophy, treatments blend ancient healing traditions with smart technology to create immersive, personalised experiences, and bespoke stays are themed around the likes of fitness, yoga and improved sleep.
Guests can have non-invasive wellness screenings to assess key biomarkers, plus a movement efficiency test that uses sports science to analyse posture and movement. Results are reviewed with in-house experts, who design tailored programmes to improve performance, reduce injury risk and support long-term balance.
The therapies range from Ayurvedic treatments to award-winning signature rituals, including the coconut-based, Laamu Kaashi Theyo (a resort special created to nourish sun-exposed skin).
Along with nine treatment rooms there are consultation spaces, a rooftop yoga studio, state-of-art gym, steam room, nail spa, boutique lounge and a juice bar serving fresh, gut-loving smoothies.

What’s on the menu
Leaf, perched above the organic garden, showcases ingredients sourced with local fishermen and farmers. Open-air Longitude serves breakfast and à la carte dinners featuring catch of the day, pasta, Asian staples and grilled meats, along with a buffet with live cooking stations. Zen, on the upper deck, serves up Japanese dishes with a modern twist, from sushi and gyoza to crab tempura.

Sip Sip is a relaxed poolside option for pizzas, grills and local desserts. Finally, there’s a wine cellar and the intimate Chilli Table, which serves five-course chilli-led tasting menus.
Six Senses Laamu is committed to sourcing sustainable produce to ensure its operations don't harm the surrounding marine environment. The resort supports the Blue Marine Foundation, a charity dedicated to tackling the global overfishing crisis. Reef fish served on the menus are caught by local fishermen from Laamu Atoll using handline methods, a low-impact technique that ensures only mature fish are taken from healthy populations.
Location
Six Senses Laamu is the only resort in the Maldives’ unspoiled Laamu Atoll. Beautifully remote yet surprisingly accessible, the journey from Malé International Airport combines a scenic 35-minute domestic flight with a 15-minute speedboat transfer to the island.
A resort representative will meet you on arrival at Malé and escort you to the Six Senses Lounge, where you can relax while waiting for your domestic flight. If you pre-book your airport transfer with us, all legs of the transfer are included.
