Overview

Thermae Sylla Spa & Wellness Hotel is in the picturesque village of Edipsos on Evia, Greece’s second-largest island. Established in 1896, it’s best known for its thermal waters, drawn directly from the nearby springs that have been celebrated for their healing properties since the 4th century BC. The water flows through the hotel’s spa and pools and is even used in the hotel’s own skincare products – giving every treatment an authentic, mineral-rich boost.

The hotel has traditional architecture and elegant interiors, plus an impressive range of facilities. You’ll find medicinal indoor and outdoor pools, a jacuzzi, water jets and whirlpools, plus a full range of spa treatments, a gym and dedicated wellness programmes for the likes of detox, weight loss and rejuvenation.

Food is fresh, seasonal and thoughtfully prepared, with four restaurants and two bars offering everything from Mediterranean à la carte to light spa-style meals.

Families are welcome here, but entry to the spa is strictly for over 15s only.

When to go

The best time to visit Evia is from March to November when the weather is warm and there is limited rainfall. The hottest month is August where the average temperature is 30 degrees.
