Zulal is the Middle East’s first dedicated wellness resort, operated by Chiva-Som, Thailand’s world-renowned wellness pioneer with more than two decades of experience in transformative health retreats. Chiva-Som’s expertise in holistic programmes, personalised nutrition, spa treatments and fitness is reflected throughout Zulal, bringing a globally recognised standard of care to the Arabian Gulf.
With a prime setting on Qatar’s northern tip, where the desert meets the sea, Zulal is split into two zones. Zulal Serenity for adults seeking a tranquil, transformative experience, and Zulal Discovery for families. Serenity guests can follow personalised journeys that pair holistic approaches with Traditional Arabic Integrative Medicine (TAIM), the world’s first centre for the modality.
The cutting-edge wellness facilities include indoor and outdoor pools (separated by gender), a Himalayan salt room with marble beds, an Arctic cave with snow and more than 40 treatment rooms. Other highlights are the contemporary rooms – dressed in soothing neutrals – and stylish restaurants serving up intricately presented, nutritious cuisine.

The Zulal Wellness philosophy is based on six pillars of health: fitness, spa, holistic health, physiotherapy, aesthetic beauty and nutrition. Combining Traditional Arabic and Islamic Medicine with holistic wellness, it offers adults the chance to reset mentally and physically, adopt healthier habits, and create a balanced lifestyle.Retreats are immersive and personalised, from slimming and fitness to spa relaxation and beauty, blending movement, fitness classes, massages, beauty treatments and energy-based therapies with time for self-reflection. Guests are also encouraged to enjoy outdoor activities in nature, such as stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking and island walks.
The spa includes 42 treatment rooms, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, Ayurvedic and Thai massage, relaxation areas, thermal facilities (including a hammam, salt room, arctic room, sauna, steam room and experience showers), and indoor and outdoor pools and mineral baths, all gender-segregated. Elsewhere, The Fitness Pavilion features movement studios, a Watsu pool and a mixed gym. Lastly, there’s an aesthetic centre for dermatology and treatments, and an Apothecary for herbal wellness products.

Serenity, the resort's adults-only wing, has 60 spacious, modern rooms and suites with views of the sand, sea, and lagoon.
Deluxe Garden rooms are in the heart of the resort, close to the restaurants and wellness centre. They come with a king-size or twin beds, a small living area and a private terrace overlooking the resort’s lagoon. The resort uses fresh, locally sourced produce, with a wide variety of dishes and beverages prepared from organic ingredients.
Guests on the Serenity Retreat enjoy their own exclusive restaurant and tea house with more than 120 blends of organic, herbal teas, while also having access to the resort’s other dining venues.

Zulal Wellness Resort occupies an expansive 280,000 -square-metre site on the northernmost tip of Qatar, on the edge of the Arabian Gulf. The setting is striking in its openness – flat desert terrain meets a private stretch of sandy shoreline.
