About Aleenta Retreat Chiang Mai

Thoughtfully designed and intentionally tranquil, Aleenta Retreat Chiang Mai is ideal for those looking for space to reset and reconnect – without losing access to one of Thailand’s most enchanting cities.

It’s set at the foot of the hills and surrounded by shady woodland, just a short drive from the city’s cultural heart. A member of Leading Hotels of the World, the retreat is centred around a beautifully restored 100-year-old teakwood villa. The atmosphere encourages a slower pace, whether you choose to spend time by the pool, join spiritual practices rooted in local traditions, or explore Chiang Mai’s temples, markets and cafés.

Wellness here is holistic and well thought-out. Guests can take part in meditation, breathwork, yoga and sound healing, alongside personalised wellness programmes designed to support physical and emotional balance.

Just so you know, this is an adult-only retreat with a minimum age of 12 years.

Wellness at Aleenta Retreat Chiang Mai

The AYURAH Wellness centre combines Thai and Ayurvedic traditions with modern Western practices, with a clear focus on spirituality and mind–body balance.

In addition to a spa stay, which includes one daily treatment, Aleenta offers four signature wellness retreats: Yoga & Mindfulness, Nature’s Cleanse, Spa & Recovery, and Mind & Body Renewal. Programmes are tailored through an on-site consultation and supported by personalised diagnostics, including body composition analysis, Traditional Thai Medicine assessments and chakra analysis.

You wellness journey is supported by a range of meaningful experiences. For example, Aleenta offers access to local monastic traditions, so you can join meditation sessions at nearby monasteries or even take part in silent retreats through partnerships with local temples.

In terms of facilities, there's a fitness studio and a peaceful yoga shala to enjoy, along with a packed schedule of group activities (private sessions are available).

There’s one cosy restaurant and a laid-back bar on-site, serving up delicious Thai dishes and fresh salads made with herbs straight from the garden. If you’re looking for balance, you’ll also find Ayurvedic dining options.

Book one of the retreat programmes and you’ll enjoy full board meals as part of your stay – each designed to support your health and spiritual journey. The Nature’s Cleanse Retreat, for example, includes a personalised detox meal plan. It often begins with a gentle one-day juice cleanse to give your digestive system a break, followed by light vegan meals and herbal supplements to support your reset.

The team also integrates herbal medicine into your experience. Sip on freshly brewed AYURAH herbal tonics made with powerful ingredients like ashwagandha and turmeric.
