About Epic Sana Algarve

You’ll find Epic Sana perched above the golden sands of Praia da Falésia, one of the Algarve’s best beaches, fringed by a pine forest and bougainvillea-filled gardens. It’s a prime location, secluded enough to be peaceful but within easy reach of lively Albufeira and upscale Vilamoura, and less than a 10-minute walk downhill to the shoreline.

The resort is thoroughly modern, with long, low-rise buildings with glass balconies, and a great line-up of facilities. The Sayanna Wellness Centre pairs Eastern-inspired holistic therapies with modern spa treatments. And outside, five swimming pools take pride of place – including adult and children’s options. Six restaurants and two bars take care of wining and dining, serving everything from Italian and Japanese to fine dining cuisine.

In summer, the Little Star’s Kids Club is open to children aged four to 12. Activities include team games, artwork, cinema, face painting, gymkhana, origami, and cooking workshops.

Wellness at Epic Sana Algarve

The over 16s Sayanna Wellness Spa & Fitness Centre is in the heart of the grounds, with a focus on oriental therapies. The treatment menu includes soothing massages and Vichy water experiences, relaxing treatments that use warm water jets to cleanse the skin and ease muscle tension. 

Facilities include eight treatment rooms, a Vichy shower room, sauna, Turkish bath, indoor pool, adults-only indoor relaxation pool, and a 24-hour fitness centre. The hotel also has two floodlit padel courts, with an on-site coach available for private sessions.

We only advertise a selection of the resort’s spa programmes. Epic Sana’s signature seven-night retreats can also be booked – choose from De-stress, Yoga, Reshape, Mindfulness and Body & Soul Detox. Get in touch for details.

What’s on the menu?

Dining plays a central role at Epic Sana, with each restaurant bringing its own personality and menus, united by a shared focus on exceptional ingredients.

Guests on half board dine at the Abyad Restaurant for breakfast and dinner, served as a buffet, à la carte or table d’hôte, depending on occupancy.

A nutritional full board option can be pre-booked, covering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and mid-morning and afternoon snacks. This programme includes a compulsory nutritional analysis, get in touch to find out more.

Abyad is open year-round, with outdoor seating and an international menu starring regional ingredients. Breakfast is buffet-style, dinner is either buffet-style or à la carte, depending on occupancy.

Al Quima
The hotel’s fine dining restaurant, open from 1 February to 31 October, Tuesday to Saturday. Adults-only and elegant, it’s an ideal choice for special occasions.

LOCATION

Epic Sana is tucked just a short walk inland from Albufeira’s pristine golden beaches. Both Vilamoura and Albufeira’s lively town centres are a short drive away, offering easy access to marinas, restaurants and shops. For those who enjoy walking, a scenic clifftop coastal path leads to Vilamoura Marina in around 45 minutes. Faro Airport is around 40 minutes away by car.

It was slightly more expensive than Sianji in Turkey but it is a level up. When you consider what you get in the half board package it is actually reasonable. The food is outstanding. The spa is fabulous, the pools are lovely with adult and kids pool separately too. I went in Sept so not really any kids anyway. The service including the room, reception, pool boys, waiters are all so lovely. The beach where it is situated is probably one of the best in the world.
