Datu Wellness is a transformative retreat housed in an 18th-century palazzo in Italy. In this post, we introduce some of the specialists whose expertise and care make it a true healing sanctuary.
Datu Wellness is the brainchild of Constantin Bjerke, who embarked on a transformative journey in India where he sought solutions for his own holistic health challenges. During his time there, he delved into the realms of Ayurveda, yoga, and meditation, realising that genuine wellbeing requires a harmonious approach encompassing physical, mental, and spiritual aspects.
While immersing himself in India's rich wellness traditions, Constantin meticulously selected a group of dedicated doctors, therapists, and teachers who possessed the genuine ability to positively impact retreat guests. To augment this team, he also enlisted highly skilled and experienced therapists from Europe. Here, you'll find biographies of some of these individuals —all ready and waiting to inspire and facilitate your healing journey.

Gaja's fascination with Ayurveda is deeply rooted in her personal history as a patient. She successfully overcame numerous health challenges with the assistance of this ancient system of medicine and science of life.
Her transformative journey began in 2015 when she embarked on a spiritually enriching trip to Sri Lanka. During her visit, Gaja resided in a Theravada monastery on the outskirts of Kandy, and sought Ayurvedic treatments at a small clinic.
It was during this time that she realised her life's purpose was to help others heal by harnessing the wisdom of Ayurveda, and nurturing the profound connection we all share with nature. Fuelled by her unwavering thirst for knowledge, Gaja pursued further studies in Kerala, specialising in Panchakarma therapies under the guidance of the renowned Professor Narayanan Nambi, in Thrissur.
Vlad's profound interest in the human body and its movement originated from his extensive practice of yoga. Over the past twelve years, he's developed a keen awareness of how posture and habitual movements can lead to dysfunctional tension patterns and discomfort.
This realisation prompted Vlad to embark on an apprenticeship under the esteemed holistic therapist, KRI Jagdish, which ignited his pursuit of in-depth studies in functional anatomy, biomechanics, and neural patterning.
His academic journey culminated in a Bachelor of Health Science degree, specialising in Musculoskeletal Therapy. Currently, Vlad practices as a Clinical Myotherapist in both Lisbon and Goa, where he addresses a wide spectrum of neuromuscular conditions, providing comprehensive care to his clients.
