This adults-only hotel is very special – think luxurious setting on a dramatic coast with a truly Spanish Canarian colonial vibe. Meaning ‘the count’s farmhouse’, the resort has been created around a historic villa and is now surrounded by a golf course and the rugged Teno mountain range, to the north west of the island. Not only are there spectacular views over the sea and the surrounding protected national park, but also across nearby lush banana plantations too. The Yhi spa is a wonderfully elegant space and dedicated to rejuvenation. Energising hydrotherapy is a specialty but a wide range of holistic treatments and rituals are available.

Newly refurbished in summer 2019, Océano Health Spa Hotel  is located directly overlooking the Atlantic ocean, surrounded by green mountains and lush vegetation in the north of Tenerife. It may look high-rise in design but it’s actually very remotely located and non-touristy, with no other hotels around plus ancient woodland and mountain hiking tours directly from the hotel. Associated with the Mayr-Centre (world experts in the field of wellness) it’s a great place to detox, relax and recharge the batteries. Through a powerful combination of authentic Thalassotherapy and expertise from the Mayr medical centre, Océano is the perfect destination for a results-driven wellness holiday. Led by a professional team of doctors and therapists, the spa treatments are aimed at aiding detox or boosting fitness, through massages, shiatsu, osteopathy and natural cosmetics. This hotel is adults only with a minimum age of 18 years.
