There's also a 25-metre lap pool nestled among the palms.
Kamalaya has 75 rooms set among granite boulders, streams and exotic gardens, including 24 hillside rooms, 26 suites and 25 villas. Some are located at the bottom of the steep hill, which means reaching the restaurant, wellness centre and activity areas can be a bit of a workout. Buggies are available on demand, but if you’d like to be closer to the action, be sure to consider the room type carefully – ask us for details. Mosquito repellent is supplied in all room types.
Just so you know, Wi-Fi is not included and can be purchased on-site. There's no Wi-Fi in the restaurant or spa areas, helping to maintain the sanctuary’s peaceful, screen-free atmosphere.
Kamalaya is located on a tropical hillside on Koh Samui’s peaceful south coast, built around a cave once used by Buddhist monks and overlooking a private white-sand beach.
The sleepy village of Na Muang and livelier Lamai are just a few minutes’ drive away. You’ve also got easy access to the popular Secret Buddha Garden, which lies in the island’s hills around 20 minutes from the retreat. Another local gem is Mu Ko Ang Thong National Marine Park, which can be reached on a day trip by boat from the island’s west coast.
The transfer time from Koh Samui Airport is around 40 minutes. Flights from Bangkok are frequent and take around one hour. Return airport transfers are included for guests on a wellness programme.
Due to the peaceful environment, Kamalaya is more suitable for adults only. However max 1 child per room is allowed but be aware that there are no specific activities available for children.
